MORGAN COUNTY SCHOLARS COURSE SCHEDULE THE MORGAN COUNTY SCHOLARS PROGRAM offers college level courses to high school students residing in Morgan County, WV. Students enrolled in this program begin a college transcript, allowing them to get a jump-start on their college education prior to graduation from high school. High school students can register for any course with Blue Ridge CTC as long as the prerequisites are met. The Morgan County Scholars Schedule is constructed of courses specifically for High School Students. COURSES IN THE PROGRAM ARE OFFERED AT NO COST to Morgan County residents. In addition, textbooks are funded and provided by the Blue Ridge CTC Foundation. Students enrolling outside of the Morgan County system pay $25 per credit hour. Blue Ridge CTC works in concert with Berkeley Springs High School to recruit students. Students are offered free placement testing, as needed, to enroll in college level English and Math. Most courses within the Morgan County Scholars program are part of the Statewide Transfer Education Program (STEP), which allows ease of transfer to public institutions across the state of West Virginia. CRITERIA FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS o 2.0 GPA o Senior in High School o Eligible for early dismissal for courses from 1:15pm-2:30pm HOW DO I REGISTER FOR CLASSES? Students registering for these courses complete the Non-degree seeking application indicating courses for the upcoming semester.
