    FACADE.Cant with it.

Cant live without it.If we live without a facade, we are viewd by the world as being strong. If we choose to live with a facade we are viewed as fake.If we live a facade then we have the ability to be whoever we want to be.If we live without a facade were ourselves.Thats all.

    ng cliques are what a lot of teenage student want to see happen;

, there are always kids who feel that cliques are not a problem.

liques are just groups of kids who have common qualities, although,

ally cliques take the aspect of being accepted too critically. The

reached when another student is put in a position of being talked

made fun of or even kicked out of a particular group because

ons they make, usually in total blamelessness. Sports teams and

seem to group off by excluding other students that differ in

appearance, or intellect. I personally have had a few inconve-

sociations with cliques. Here at manual, the abundance of cliques is

able. The further I look into these groups, the more I seem to notice

rrelevance of generality within the groups of friends grows. The

ems to be mainly on the status quote. The importance of making

with related interests is decreasing, whereas the rapid growth of

friends for their position in school is more relevant. Who does not

be on top? Who does not want to have friends that make you feel

nt? The Genuine meaning of the word friend is becoming less and

    ortant to us.

Last year, Morgan attempted to make a quick trip to the restroom

class started. When she was approaching the restroom a clique

ed group was standing in the way of the restroom. She had to ght

through these students as if I was not allowed to enter the rest-

Why should anyone be subjected to the kind of harassment to where

fearful to walk the hallways at their own school? They shouldnt.

should not be worried about being bullied and terrorized by other

of student. Obviously this problem will never fully be eliminated;, I do believe that eliminating cliques is an excellent start. This is

mprobable, I know, yet, I still would like for our school to make a

s effort to hang out with other people, talk to other people, or just

rous enough to not be so caught up in their own cliques. If everyone

h an effort, including myself, I am sure we can achieve a clique

ool. Its good for you. Its good for me.

    ne is happy.

    themselves as cliqu

-Lilly Moore, sophoSitting inside the freshman cafeteria, students enjoy their lunch with their normal group of friends.

    Lunch tables above,

    converse in the freshman and

    senior cafeterias with their usual

    groups of friends.

I do not think being in a clique is a

bad thing because its just a group

    o riends that have common

    interests. They are only negative

when used to bash other people.

    Sports teams have cliques but

it all depends on the variety o

    the team. Sports teams def-

    nitely consider themselves cliques

    though.

-Victus McDaniel, sophomore, CMAStanding in the lunchroom, Bo, a custodian, observ

sitting in their self assigned groups.

    I notice that all the

    student are secluded

    into groups. The

    magnets usually sit

    together and so do

    the sports teams.

    It is also sometimes

    racially segregated.

    This happens every-

    day and I just stand

    and watch.

ving a friend who tells you everything can

distressful on your relationship. The way that

nielle and Lucas treated her was intolerable.

y decided tormenting her wasnt enough, so

y turned to me. Morgan was recieveing aw-

exts from them saying stuff about how ugly

fat morgan and I both are. What kind of

ple would do that? Morgan and i have had

ny tests to our friendship and ialways encour-

e her to not listen to what other people say

out her. However, its hard to follow that advice

en people were harassing her with words and

ons. It was even worse when our parents got

olved. Morgans mom saw her text messages

call my mom. They discussed taking the issue

he school because they knew there was zero

rance for bullying. They came to the conclusion

if they were to go to the school, the matters

y get worse. Morgan and i will always be best

nds, nothing could tear us apart.

    Morgan remembers March. She rememb

the fake smiles, the intense conversation

amazing times they had, and now in M

    she remembers the FACADE.

    Morgan Profumo wakes up each

morning. She brushes her teeth, g

dressed and heads out for her

    Everyday. The same routine. Th

    morning something felt unusua

    uneasy. The same person sits

her each morning, Lucas. He s

and they talk on the long bus

    to school. That morning, Lucas

    passed Morgan up. She paid

attention to it though. She walinto school next to lucas, becau

thats what friends do-so she thou

She sat down in class and received

    text message saying, Morgan youre

annoying. I can barely stand to be aroun

anymore. I dont think we should be friends. Those

hurt. Morgan looked over them again and again. Could this rea

happening? She had only been everything she could have been. S

had always been there for lucas. Wyhy would he say these things

spite of her? this was adding up Coming to nd out, Morgan and t

girl Danielle werent getting along. Danielle had told Lucas lies a

Morgan. She still doesnt know to this day what she told him. Luc

told morgan that the only reason he even talked to her was bcause she talked to him rst. He said he just wanted to mes

her mind. Morgan cried. She had no clue what was happe

And to be honest, I didnt want to know, Morgan says.

compeletely dropped Morgan as a friend. What was s

supposed to do? She had no choice but to drop him too

thats what she did. She started thingking brighter and

had a wonderful time in life. She wasnt so stressed ou

the time. She didnt have to worry about making some

mad or getting on someones nerves. She was on the E

    NoSense

    OfSelfer son ality:

he visible aspect of ones character as it impresses others

eronalities are everywhere. Some have strong,

ome have weak. The way you come across to

eople is your personality. If you have no sense

f self youre lacking personality. The way you

ortray people around you is called judgement.

The way you judge someone is usually by how

hey act. How someone acts is their personal-

ty. Morgan Profumo feels she has a decent

ersonality. She thinks that people are attracted

o her bubbly actions and the way she can cheernyone up. She had this to say about personali-

es of others, I think that some people have a

eally bland personality, and those people have

rouble communicating. In society your judged

y the way you act. The people who are mrore

utspoken and have a wider variety of friends

will be higher on the scae. hose re usually the

eople with decent personalities. Although, I do

nderstand that some people are shy, and that

hyness is not something you can help. Per-

onality is the key to everyhthing in life. Have

positive outlook ad always treat people the

way you want to be treated. Some people act

ke that have good personalities, when in reality

hey are so mean ot others. Ususlaly guys have

personality problem. They lack sense of self.

They think theyre better than everyone else, I

m unsure if it is a stage or if these guys really

o think their poo poo doesnt stink as they say.

Take what you can get and never tke a personal-

ty for granted. you get what you get- so dont

    hrow a ft.

When people have strongpersonalities they can be fto hang around with but cabecome overwhelming. Pe

ple who have weaker persoalities can be dull but can asupply a istening ear whenever you need one.-Kellie Goff, 10

Kellie Goff, 10, laughing at something Morgan Profumo said

Its beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.Watch your words, for they become actions.Watch your actions, for they become habits.Watch your habits, for they become character.Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Cute is when a persons personality shines through their looks. Like in the way

they walk, every time you see them you just want to run up and hug them.Personality has the power to open many doors, but character must keep themopen
