Ten more homes in the path of Hawaii's Kileaua volcano erup-tion have been destroyed by fast-moving lava. At least 51 homes have been destroyed since the volcanic emergency began. More than 2,000 people have fled the area. An historic expedition is scheduled for next Tuesday when long-distance swimmer Ben Lecomte begins a 5,500-mile swim across the Pacific Ocean starting in Japan and swimming to San Francisco. The journey is expected to take six to eight months, and is being tracked by Seeker, a digital media science company, and the Discovery Channel. Alberto, the first named subtropical storm of the 2018 season, has made landfall on the Florida panhandle, with heavy rain, gusty winds and flash flooding.
