Why did I receive an “Asset Identification” error? An asset allocation error occurs when the database does not recognize a security identifier (CUSIP, SEDOL,ISIN, etc.). Your portfolio holdings will be checked by Morningstar and matched accordingly. You do not needto import the portfolio again.

Why did I receive a “Validation” error?A Validation error occurs when a portfolio fails certain data quality checks. Your portfolio will be checkedby Morningstar. You do not need to import the portfolio again.

I received no errors but my portfolio is still notshowing up in Morningstar products. Where is my portfolio? If this is the first portfolio you have imported for aninvestment, the portfolio will need to be linked to the investment by a Morningstar Data Analyst. Each portfolio thereafter will link to an investment if thesame Unique Portfolio Identifier is used.If this is not the first portfolio you have imported for aninvestment, most likely you have used an incorrectUnique Portfolio Identifier and the portfolio needs toagain be linked to an investment by a Morningstar Data Analyst. To avoid this delay, make sure to use thesame Unique Portfolio Identifier each time you importyour portfolio holdings.
