MASTER COBALT® BI-METAL HOLE SAWSThis premium line of professional quality hole saws features an M3 high-speed steel cutting edge, electron beamwelded to a tough steel backer. Caps stand up to abuse and punishment, yet are lighter and easier to use thanthose of competitors. Positive rake tooth design provides better chip clearance as teeth cut into wood, plastic orany machinable metal. The 1-1/2” cutting depth cuts easily through 2x4’s. THE ANATOMY OF THE

The secret to the Morse Metal Devil's ability to quickly and smoothly cut through tough metalslies in it's unique combination of manufacturing quality, metallurgy and blade configuration.Teeth are arranged in varying numbers around a hardened steel inner plate. Each tooth is tippedwith a unique combination of tungsten carbide and titanium carbide. These tips are brazed tothe plate and arranged in a manner to assure longer life and smoother cutting action.

Teeth Per BladeThe number of teeth on a blade depends on the diameter of theblade, the thickness and type of material being cut. Generallyspeaking, blades for cutting thinner and harder materialsrequire more teeth with smaller gullets between teeth.

Tooth Geometry

Blades for cutting softer materialsuch as aluminum have teeth witha 7° rakeThis creates a more forward cuttingaction. The machinability ofaluminum allows use of this moreaggressive tooth configuration.

Blades for cutting steel have teethwith 0° rake A line drawn along the front of thetooth would cross the center pointof the blade. This configuration creates a stronger tooth with moremetal backing the tooth.

TCG (Triple Chip Grind)This configuration, used on varioussteel, stainless steel and aluminumcutting blades, maximizes life bysharing chip load between the teeth.It also provides maximum strengthat each of the tip points.
