So, how do we boost

Having satisfied
customers is a great
goal, but there is a big
difference between
someone who is
satisfied with our

who loves Mosaic

Reaching out to them
and connecting with
them one on one is the
first step in creating a

casual customers to
raving fans. Each work-
related contact, whether
on the phone during a
payment or a trouble call
or face to face during a
site visit or installation,
helps cultivate that
connection. But our
attitude and behavior
outside of work is equally
as important. Positive
engagement doesn’t stop
at the install. It should be
practiced at the gas
station, grocery store,
school or community
center: anywhere we
encounter our customers.
Remember that when a
customer makes a
suggestion or complaint,
there are dozens of other
customers that saw and
thought the same thing
but just didn’t say
anything. By responding
in a positive, constructive
manner and addressing
the issue quickly, you help
build positive support of
Mosaic, and convert our
subscribers from casual
customers to raving fans .

Always the Right Call head referee at the 2014
girls’ state tournament
basketball matchup
between Algoma and St.
Mary’s Springs. This
was John’s 6th
appearance in a state
tournament: he’s also
officiated for football and
boys’ basketball in
previous years with long-
time officiating partner
Mike Breed of Cameron.
Having one officiating
appearance at a state
tournament is an honor,
but having six is an
accolade given to an elite
few. Only the top levels of
licensed officials in the
state can even apply for

At Mosaic Telecom, we’re
pretty good at helping
our customers make calls.
But our Business Unit
Sales Engineer John
Blaskowski takes that
commitment to the next
level. John is a master

Wisconsin Intercollegiate
Athletic Association, and
he recently officiated as
approximately 150
applications are received
for 7 football crew slots,
and around 700
applications are received
for a 15 crew slots each
for boys’ and girls’
basketball. According to
Deb Hauser, tournament
administrator for the
WIAA,
the stringent
qualifications mean only
the best of the best
officiate during
tournament play.
Steve Schultz, Mosaic
customer and owner of
the Village Dell & Wine
Shop in Rice Lake, is
John’s crew partner, and
he attests to John’s
professional demeanor
both on and off the court.

are always clear. He’s

Most of us sit in front of our computers, take advantage of a few minutes here and a few minutes there to get some
physical activity in. You won’t get an extensive work out this way, but you can avoid some of the ills that come from
sitting at a desk for too long: sore wrists, stiffness, even repetitive motion injuries.
No one wants to do a mile run or anything else that will get their work clothes sweaty, but these simple exercises can
keep your clothes neat and still get your heart rate up.
1. Toe raises. Lift your toes while keeping your heels firmly on the ground. While you can do this exercise standing, it
works very well while seated.
2. Leg extensions. While sitting in your chair, extend your right leg until it is level with your hip. Hold as long as you are
comfortable and then relax it. Alternate sides.
3. Shadow box. Stand up and take a couple of jabs at the air. (This could help relieve stress too :) )
4. Arm pump. Pump both of your arms over your head for 30 seconds. WHOOP WHOOP
5. Shoulder raises. Raise your shoulder to your ear, hold and then relax, Repeat, alternating shoulders.
Meet Your Co-worker
Lavone Lindblad Nearly every Mosaic
business customer who
calls into the Mosaic
office for service, billing,
or trouble questions
talks to Lavone Lindblad
at some point. Lavone is
a pillar for the business
sales and technical
groups, processing
service orders and
dispatching on the front
end and completing
final billing worksheets
for sales orders on the
back end.
Lavone has been in the
telecom business for
over thirty years,
starting in Chetek as an
employee of Northwest

eventually purchased by

Mosaic for 17 years,
working customer
service, collections,
business unit and plant.
Lavone is a Rice Lake
native, and she and her
husband of 40 years,
Rick, are long-time
residents of Chetek. Rick
is a semi-retired
contractor, and during
their marriage the two
have built seven homes
and moved nearly a
dozen times, all around
the Chetek area. As
Lavone jokes, “I should
teach people how to

expert!”
When she’s not working,
Lavone enjoys
gardening, reading and
