SEW OUTSIDE CORNER UNITS- ACCENT & BACKGROUNDMake the outside corner units by sewing a 2 ¾ in accent color square to opposite corners of a 5 ½ inbackground square.• Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of each 2 ¾ in square.• Pin each 2 ¾ in square to opposing corners of the 5 ½ in squares, RST.• Sew corner to corner on the marked line (or use diagonal seam tape on your machine).• Trim ¼ in from the stitch line, on the outside of each block. Discard cut off corners.• Press seams open.

SEW INSIDE CORNER UNITS- FQ (MAIN) & ACCENT
MAKE THE QUARTER BLOCK UNITS
Make the inside corner units by sewing a 2 ¾ in accent color square to opposite corners of a 5 ½ in FQ(main fabric) square.• Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of each 2 ¾ in square.• Pin each 2 ¾ in square to opposing corners of the 5 ½ in squares, RST.• Sew corner to corner on the marked line (or use diagonal seam tape on your machine).• Trim ¼ in from the stitch line, on the outside of each block. Discard cut off corners.• Press seams open.
Baby : Make 32 - 8 from each color
Throw : Make 40 - 8 from each color
Large Throw: Make 60 - 8 from colors 1-6

Each block is made up of 4 units, each made using the HST method.• Place one main color and one background color square RST, with accent corners matching up.• Mark a diagonal line between the corner accent pieces.• Sew a scant ¼ in seam on each side of the marked line (or use diagonal seam tape on your machine).• Trim on the marked line.• Press square open. Press seams open.• Square blocks to 5 in. Recommend using a ruler with a 45° diagonal line for best results.

ASSEMBLE THE QUILT TOP

Sew the quilt top in rows, adding the 9 ½ x 2 ½ in sashing between blocks as shown.
Sew the sashing rows, adding the 2 ½ x 2 ½ in blocks between sashing strips as shown.

Assemble the blocks as shown.• Sew top left and right squares together and press seams open.• Sew bottom left and right squares together and press seams open.• Sew top unit to bottom unit.Unfinished blocks should measure 9 ½ in square.

ASSEMBLE THE BLOCKS
FINISH THE QUILT
Sew rows together, adding sashing strips between the rows.
Optional Borders:• Use preferred method for joining border strips together.• Sew border onto the top and bottom of the quilt and trim off excess to match quilt width.
(For Baby and Throw size, one WOF strip will be wide enough to span the quilt width of 42 in.)• Sew borders onto both sides of the quilt and trim off excess to match quilt length.
Sew the backing fabric together with a ½ in seam allowance and press seams open.Make a quilt sandwich. Layer pieced backing fabric, wrong side up, batting and quilt top, right side up andbaste with your chosen method and quilt as desired.Square up your quilt and machine sew binding to your quilt front.Machine or hand bind to back of quilt. 7
