INTRODUCTION : Commissioning is a process of integrating site i.e downloading site codes to BTS,

calibration of TRX unit, measurement of VSWR, measurement of reverse power, documentation of the site etc. TYPES OF BTS USED BY HUTHISION DELHI :

1. IN-CELL (900MHz) 2. M-CELL (900MHz) 3. HORIZON MACRO (900MHz & 1800MHz) 4. HORIZON MACRO 2 (900MHz & 1800MHz)

All above BTS are manufacture by MOTOROLA SECURITY LEVEL IN MOTOROLA BTS : There are three-security levels in the MOTOROLA system. In the first security level, we can only check and display the status of DRI, RTF, MMS, RSL, CAGE, PATH etc. In the second security level, we can modify ( i.e lock, unlock, in-service) the DRI. In the third security level, we can login to BSC/to other site. PROCEDURE FOR CHANGING SECURITY LEVEL :

a. Whenever you login to BTS, you are in security level one. b. For changing security level from one to two. Enter the following command;

MMI-RAM 1015 -> chg_l↵↵↵↵

Enter password for security level you wish to access:↵ (press ↵) Current security level is 2

c. For changing security level from one to third. Enter the following command; MMI-ROM 1015 -> chg_l↵↵↵↵ Enter password for security level you wish to access:3stooges↵ Enter password for security level you wish to access:4beatles↵ Current security level is 3 COMMANDS USED IN MOTOROLA BTS : 1. disp_site↵↵↵↵

This command is used to check current site number (i.e logical id of the site). Whenever you log in to BTS. You should to now site number, which is displayed on the screen when this command is execute. Syntax & Massage after execution of this command is shown below: MMI-RAM 1015 -> disp_site↵↵↵↵ Current site number is 30 Note site number is different for different sites. 2. state (site number) dri (dri id)↵↵↵↵ This command is used to check status of all/particular dri. This command gives status of dri ( i.e how many dri are busy, dri are busy on which rtf, how many dri are equipped, time & date of last action of dri). Syntax & Massage after execution of this command is shown below: MMI-RAM 1015 -> state 30 dri * * ↵↵↵↵ DEVICE STATUS INFORMATION FOR LOCATION 30: OPER STATES: D:Disabled E:Enabled B:Busy ADMIN STATES: L:Locked U:Unlocked E:Equipped S:Shutdown Last Transition Related Device State Reason dd/mm hh:mm:ss Function ------------- ----- ------------------------- --------------- --------- DRI 0 0 0 D-L NO REASON 08/09 16:49:22 None DRI 0 1 0 B-U NO REASON 08/09 16:49:56 RTF 0 0 0 DRI 0 2 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:08 None DRI 0 3 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:14 None DRI 1 0 0 B-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:08 RTF 1 0 0 DRI 1 1 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:14 None DRI 1 2 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:34:46 None DRI 1 3 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:34:46 None DRI 2 0 0 B-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:02 RTF 2 0 0 DRI 2 1 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:02 None DRI 2 2 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:08 None DRI 2 3 0 E-U NO REASON 08/09 16:35:08 None END OF STATUS REPORT

In the above massage, we see that there are twelve DRI are equipped. Four dris in all sector. DRI with id starting from 0 is in first sector, similarly DRI with id

starting from 1 is in second sector, in the same way, DRI with id starting from 2 is in third sector. In this way DRI 0 0, 0 1, 0 2, 0 3 are in first sector, DRI 1 0, 1 1, 1 2, 1 3 are in second sector, DRI 2 0, 2 1, 2 2, 2 3 are in third sector. In the device row DRI with id show. In the state row, status of DRI show ( D means DRI are disable, E means DRI are enabled, L means DRI are locked, U means DRI are unlocked). Last transition shows the time when DRI gets last reset. In the related function row, which one rtf is on which DRI. 3. state (site number) rtf (rtf id)↵↵↵↵ This command is used to check the status of all/particular rtf. This command gives the status of the rtf. Syntax & Massage after execution of this command is shown below:
