The Japan Meteorological Agency publishes updates on
volcanic activity to keep relevant parties and the general
public aware of such information even if it does not warrant
a change in Volcanic Alert Level Please look at any bulletins
that may be posted before climbing
Volcanic Warnings are put out by the Japan Meteorological
Agency in the event of an eruption so that residents are
able to take protective action as soon as possible The
issuance of such an alert which will be transmitted to
climberslsquo radios and portable electronic devices means
that there is an immediate need to protect onelsquos safety
Please note that no warning will be sent for regularly-active
volcanoes that erupt at their usual intensity or for eruptions

This map is for use by visitors to Mount Fuji for
evacuation and other assistance in the event of a
sudden eruption The Road Map shows ways to
escape on foot and is covered with pink dots
that serve as a guide to current location and
direction of evacuation The Evacuation Scenario
Map displays ten typical eruption patterns as
well as instructions for immediate evacuation for
each one Please note that these cases are based
off of past eruptions and are not guaranteed to
be exact predictors of future situations
