avannah truly is a city rich in history, charm, and southern hospitality and what a wonder- ful place to hold AVA's 19th annual conference! Whether you rode the ferry, viewed the architecturally distinct buildings, or just enjoyed networking with your colleagues, the AVA conference was the place to be. We had attendees from across the coun- try and as far away as the UK. Our keynote speaker, Madge Buus-Frank RNC, MS, ARNP, opened this year's meeting with her insightful presentation on "Health Care Trends 2020." Our conference theme of "Moving Forward with Innovation and Col- laboration" was evidenced throughout many sessions. Multidisciplinary sessions ranged from catheter related bloodstream infection, vein anatomy, disaster response, publishing and ultrasound workshops.
