• Secure ownership (sponsorship, steering, direction, leadership) of the roadmap and the underlying initiatives. Ensure ownership of the capabilities.

• Make sure you keep a connection between your tactical roadmap and your business models.

• Make an explicit choice where to build the capabilities (valuechain, product teams, centralized).

• Don’t build capabilities in isolation. They always need to exist in combination with other capabilities owners need to align.
