There are so so many exciting things happening this month! Dear Parents, Thank you for everything youʼve done to make Moving-Up Sunday happen! Whether you prayed, volunteered, or simply committed to attend – we couldnʼt have pulled this day off without you. Thank you! We moved up all of the three, four, and five year olds to the fourth floor, introduced a whole slew of new youth helpers, and had a wealth of parent volunteers sign up to help out, too. God has blessed this process every step of the way, and Iʼm excited to see what this year has in store! I would also like to thank our amazing, returning 2015-2016 Sunday School teachers: Amy, Karin, Todd, James, Jesse and Mandy, as well as our newest S.S. teacher: Wayne Hewett, who is joining us in the 3rd-4th grade class. Not only have they committed to serve your family for this year, but they have also gone out of their way to create exciting lessons and learning incentives for each of their classes. Please pray for them and plan to join us for the 9:30 and 11:00 worship hours each Sunday. We have a truly excellent team of teachers. The Fall Lock In is less than two weeks away and spots are filling up fast! It will begin on the 11th at 6:30 p.m. – with dinner, games, praise music, a devotional, scavenger hunt, an ice cream party, Sardines, and a midnight movie marathon – and it will conclude on September 12th, at 7:00 a.m., with breakfast. The cost is $10, and we will also be collecting new socks and underwear for Clothes to Kids. To sign up, simply email your childʼs name and age to [email protected]. Itʼs that easy! Every year we end up with kids on the waiting list, so act fast. We want your child to be involved in this awesome team-building, friendship-making, God-worshipping event. If your kids would also like to invite a friend who doesnʼt regularly attend our church, please include that friendʼs name and age, as well as their parentsʼ names and contact information. Lock Ins are great events for first time visitors. Our new first graders are (of course) welcome to attend, too! The kids always have a blast! The S.S.UPDATEBringing you up-to-the-minute Sunday School info!

This week, weʼre discovering: Weʼll wrap up our month by reminding children that wisdom not only comes from God, but is also about seeing life from Godʼs perspective. Jesus knew this first hand. The Bible says in Luke 2:52 that He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Weʼll dig deeper into some of the wisdom that Jesus shared with his disciples and discover how we can put it into practice.

Our Bottom Line is: If you want to be wise, find out what Jesus said.

Take-Away Concept:When it comes to wisdom, we want every child to grow up and say: “I can trust God no matter what.” And, because of how they trust Him they will also realize they can treat others the way they want to be treated and make wise choices regardless of the circumstances.
