Before this he served as the Senior Secretary of ministry of Public Administration till 30 June 2018. A veteran civil servant, Dr. Md. A veteran civil servant, Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration was born on 3 November 1959 in Madaripur district. 2001, he was promoted to the post of Deputy Secretary and appointed the Director of the Prime Minister's Office and the Deputy Commissioner of Jhenaidah district. He was withdrawn from the post of Deputy Commissioner before the election of 2001.

Besides, he was the Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Ministry, Director (Finance) of the BSEC. During the caretaker government, he was the Private Secretary to the Honorable President, Additional Secretary of Education Ministry. In 2009, he was promoted to the post of Secretary. After that he served as the Secretary of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry, the then Communication ministry and the Road Division aftermath, IMED Division and Energy and Mineral Resources Division. In 2014, he was appointed as Senior Secretary of the Government, and he was in charge of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He is involved in various social activities including serving in Bangladesh Scouts outside his professional career. A hard-working man inspired by the principles of Scouts, is currently the Chief National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts. Besides, he is the President of JICA Alumni Association of Bangladesh, President, Greater Faridpur Employee Welfare Association and President of Bangladesh Karate Federation. He was also the Country Director of Asia Pacific Regional Scouts '' Ticket to Life Project ''. As recognition of his contribution to the activities of Bangladesh Scouts, he received the highest award of Bharat Scouts and Guides (Silver Elephant), 2. Highest award of Bangladesh Scouts (Silver Tiger) and 3. Tamarrow award of the Philippines. As part of the official duty, Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan visited Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Poland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, traveled to different countries including South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.
