Our Process

Content Mapping / UI Design / UX Design

During this stage we'll aim to create the content map, which in essence is a screen-by-screen, section-by-section structure that when assembled indicates the content required and the website navigation for each device category: desktop, tablet and telephone in the case of websites or android vs iOS for mobile applications.

These 2 key elements depict the overall user experience (UX). Based on the UX we proceed developing the Graphic User Interface (GUI or UI) which will wrap the content for it to be properly presented.

At Gridberry we align our efforts with the interest of our clients on a consistent basis. We begin with business analysis and understanding not only the product and commercial goal, but their brand, passion, value proposition and key differentiators in relation to their com-petitors.

Based on this understanding we begin the UX development through the iteration of user sto-ries and wireframes. UI follows, and than development. Once development begins, depend-ing on the size of the project, it is either developed in full, or separated in Sprints at the end of which a fully functional module is produced, and submitted for approval.

Development

Once content and design are approved, development begins. Depending on the size of the project, development methodology and chosen technologies, this stage can take from one to several months.

Alpha testing, Beta testing and Launch

The development phase is a quite period. However, during Alpha and Beta testing it will be important for us to test the app a LOT. Our goal is to pur-posely try to break the website and zoom into every detail. Better to work out all of the bugs internally than have customers point them out for us!

All testing is done in the development environment, and it includes mobile and desktop testing in addition to performance testing each of the main pages in the case of websites.

Once confirmed, we proceed with launching the website or the APP and providing the Content Management System (CMS) for testing.

Recommended Hosting location: Germany

We've selected our hosting environment to be based in Germany as the proximity to the Middle East VS the US facilitates a faster delivery of data and content. Additionally, the hosting provider we chose is the same used by the UN Operation in the Middle East, which reinforced our decision in moving our environments to Germany.
