Motor

A typical motor feeder consists of 3 components

• SCPO: Short Circuit Protection Device provides protection to motor

against high over currents including short circuit. It also provides

isolation in open condition.

• Relay: It provides close protection to the motor against overloads and

single phasing.

• Switching Device : It is used to switching ON and OFF the motor

under normal condition. A common example of a switching device is a

contactor. In addition the relay output gives trip command to the

switching device to switch off the motor.

protection aimed at offering optimum benefit to the user.

The schemes are as illustrated below:

switching of motor.

Contactor is used for• Switching motor under normal condition

• Very close overload protection is required

• Selectable manual/auto resetfeature is required

• Classic method of motor protection scheme is desired.

PUSH BUTTON TYPE:

• MNX G O : MPCB with adjustable over load setting and

fixed short circuit setting available from 0.16 A to 16A

covered in 11 catalogue numbers. It trips on both

Overload and Short circuit. Short circuit release is fixed

at14timeslu.

ROTARY KNOB TYPE:

• MNX G1 : MPCB with adjustable over load setting and

fixed short circuit setting available from 0.16 A to 32 A



at14timeslu.

• MNX G3 : MPCB with adjustable over load setting &fixed short circuit setting available from 16 A to 63 A



at14timeslu.

• MNX G2 : MPCB with fixed short circuit protection and

without overload protection. For applications where

separate overload relays are preferred (MPCB Scheme

3) MNXG2 makes an ideal short circuit protection

device. It is available upto 32A and can be used in

application with or without manual reset. Short circuitrelease isf ixed at 14 times lu.
