Wireless Mission

•Moore Public Schools is committed to helping students and teachers take advantage of relevant technology to further the educational and research mission of the district

Wireless Pilot

•Southmoore High School is piloting the Wireless Integration Program this year for Moore Public Schools

•Along with the pilot students are now allowed to bring and use their own wireless devices in class at the teachers discretion

Wireless Areas

•Wireless is only currently available in 75% of the building

•Once you log in your device will automatically connect in wireless zones if wireless is turned on

How to Log In

Make sure wirelessis turned on in your device settings

Select the network “MPSBYOD”

How to Log In

You will be prompted for ausername and password

This is the same username and password used to login to theschool computers EXAMPLEUsername – ABC123 Password - $H$2014

On IOS devices (Apple devices)

You will be prompted to press “Accept” to verify your device to use the wireless network

Once you have put in your login and password you will then be connected to the wireless network.

To finish connecting to the wireless network, you MUST log in to the webfilter.

Usage

•You will not have access to your home directory while connected to the wireless network

•You will not be able to print work from your wireless device

•You will have restricted Internet access while connected to the network

Security

•The district is not responsible for any damage or theft of a students device

•Write down your device’s serial number, model and type and keep this information

•Theft or vandalism of any kind should be reported immediately to administration

Responsible Use Agreement

•Your teacher will pass around a roster with your names

•By signing next to your name you are agreeing to the Responsible Use Agreement for the use of wireless and your own technology in the classroom. Please do this now!
