ECDL WebStarter Sample Tests


Introduction

The following are sample tests for ECDL WebStarter. The Sample Tests WebStarter-SV1.5KKE folder contains all the required workfiles to do each test. There are two sample tests in

total. Each sample test consists of 2 tasks.

Answerfile Instructions

!or questions where the Candidate is asked to record an answer to the knowledge"based#C$s% an answerfile for each test is pro&ided in the answer folder within the Sample TestsWebStarter-SV1.5 KKE folder in the Candidate Designated Dri&e.

Naming Conventions and Reference Conventions

The following naming and reference con&entions ha&e been adopted within the ECDLWebStarter tests. 'eferences to file names% file e(tensions% folders% directories% )'L*s +)niform'esource Locators,% h-perlinks% image links% web pages% e"mail messages% field identificationnames etc.% together with te(tual insertions are presented in bold italic for ease of identification

within the test paper. aming or insertion actions for te(t or numeric data should be addedwithout an- formatting e(cept where a formatting action is requested as part of the questionitem. /uthorised ECDL Testers are required to make these con&entions known to Candidates inad&ance of the test.

Designated Drive

/ Designated Dri&e under Candidate identification should be pro&ided to Candidates for the0mage#aker tests. Where support files and folders% work files or an answerfile rele&ant to thespecific test are required% these are to be pro&ided on the Designated Dri&e. 1rior to thecommencement of a test Candidates should be informed of the location of the DesignatedDri&e. Test documentation must be handed up to the authoried ECDL 0mage#aker Tester atthe end of the test.

Candidate Dis

Where a Designated Dri&e is not a&ailable a Candidate Disk is pro&ided to Candidates for thetests. Where support files and folders% work files or an answerfile rele&ant to the specific test arerequired% these are to be pro&ided on the Candidate Disk. 3efore the commencement of the testthe Candidate is asked to name the disk under their Candidate 0dentification. The CandidateDisk is the propert- of the Test Centre and must be handed up to the authoried ECDL Testertogether with all other test documentation at the end of the test.
