Life Profile
Mr. George Benson, Jr., aka “Bubba, Dock”, 78, husband of Mrs. Eula Mae Miller Benson, born in Woodruff, SC on February 27, 1943 to the late George Benson, Sr. and the late Minnie Drummond Benson, passed June 7, 2021.
He was a member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 50 years. He retired from Southern Rail-road after 33 plus years. If it was one thing everyone knew about George was he loved to travel and work on lawn mowers. He truly loved and lived his life!
Surviving along with his wife for 58 years are his children Jackie (Kevin) Miller of Chesnee, SC; Stacey (Linda) Benson of Boiling Springs, SC, Troy Benson and Mario Benson both of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Bridy (Rev. Samuel) Jones of Spar-tanburg, SC; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a son Quention L. Benson.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church family.
