different categories according to the preferences of the tool developer. In BEAM
Plus Interiors, aspects are grouped within the following categories:

Grading
BEAM Plus Interiors sets pre-requisites for several key performance aspects : •implementation of construction safety plan (MAN P1) •Avoiding chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-based refrigerants in any HVAC&R equipment installed for the space during the fit-out (MA P1) •Providing basic facilities for effective recycling of paper, plastic and metal wastes during occupancy (MA P2) •Avoiding the use of virgin timber resources during fit-out works (MA P3)

Up to 5 credits within validity (no more than 5 years) of BEAM certification
or other internationally recognised green building labelling systems. No double counting is allowed!

Encourage responsible management practices during fit-out
works process, and provisions to encourage sustainable
management during operation.
A Safety Management Plan has been implemented and
updated where necessary during construction and fit-out
activities:
•Person-in-charge and emergency contact;
•Hazard / risk identification;
•Public protection controls;
•Control methods;
•Site inspection frequency;
•Common plant and equipment used;
•Promotion & training;
•Personal protection equipment used, etc.

•Accredited before the beginning of construction;
•An employee of the design firm, or an employee or
consultant of the project space owner;

•Supervise and submit all submissions.

1 credit for implementing of adequate mitigation measures in accordance with Construction IAQ Management Plan:
• measures to protect BS installation, its ventilation system components and air pathways against contamination;
• measures to protect building components from contamination; • control measures for HVAC system and component protection; • Pre-occupation cleaning procedures employed if not adequately protected; • contaminant source control; • interruption of moisture/pollutant pathways;
Construction IAQ Management report detailing how fit-out construction activities, and where applicable deconstruction activities, were executed.

2 credits for implementing a green cleaning plan.
• The documentation shall detail how in-house or appointed cleaning service providers adopt and maintain: ─ Lower toxicity cleaning agents and, ─ procedures for cleaning each area of the premises.
• The Green Cleansing system manual shall include:
─ Responsible person, ─ materials used, ─ procedures and ─ cleansing records.

•Nursery provision (e.g. child care corner);
•Baby-care room;
•Supervised play area;
•Recreation facility within space for staff (e.g. sleeping/rest room, fitness

Design Requirements” of Barrier Free Access 2008 within tenant areas;
•Bicycle parking, showering and locker facilities…
Applicant is encouraged to submit alternative CSR facilities
