MR. STEVEN GALL. FOUNDER MEMBER OF N.D.C.C.

Some information has been received from the Great- Great-Granddaughter of Mr.STEVEN GALL, founder Member of the Club.

Apparently he ran away from home aged 9 stowing away on a ship from Dundee. Arriving in Newcastle, he lived in the Walker area. He is on the census at aged 11 working for a Blacksmith. Then went on to be a butchers boy for the Co-Op, later to become Manager. He then had his own butchers shop. It is not known how his interest in the Rough Collie came about.

He exhibited under the "Walker" affix and it seems he was quite successful.
