FROM THE GOVERNING BODY SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE

BRAINSTORMING between parents and teachers continues about sustainability at MRIS. If you are keen to join a discussion or put forward some ideas please do! CONSCIOUS CONSUMING: One idea that has been raised is to utilise the parent body as a buying group for various products, as a means to make sustainable choices more af-fordable (for our families and the school). From toilet paper to dishwashing liquid to cof-fee.... we are looking for an extra parent or two to help coordinate this. GRANTS SUBCOMMITTEE FUNDING...there are a number of projects that we need to source external funding for in order to progress...if you have skills in writing or editing successful grant applications, please let us know.
