Homework builds responsibility, self-discipline, and good time management skills.
Students are expected to turn in their homework on time.
For each late/missing assignment, students will receive a Late Work Slip that needs to be signed by a parent/guardian and returned the following day with the completed assignment.
Please refer to the Homework Policy in my course syllabus for specific information in regard to late and absent work.

request your student’s homework from the counseling office
What should I do when
my child is absent?
•Students are allowed one day per each day absence to complete and turn in assignment
•Students are responsible for checking the calendar and absence folder for any work they missed once they return to school
Absence(Illness)
• Students/parents must request homework five days prior to absence.
• Make-up work is due the first day of return
• See course syllabus for more details regarding pre-planned absences

Daily Assignments are due the next day (i.e. spelling, grammar, comprehension questions, vocabulary units, quick writes etc.).
Short Term Assignments are due in two to five days (i.e. writing assignments, etc.).
Long Term Assignments are due in one to three weeks (i.e. book reports, etc.).
