Timeline:2008

*Easter 2008: Invited to take part in the Leading Space Education Programme (LSEP) by the Science and Technology Facility Council (STFC).

*Attended the first LSEP Conference at Rutherford Appleton Laboratories, Didcot

*Provided Space related Science Clubs for our students

2008

*Booked Jerry Stone to deliver all day space activities.

*Stewards students, staff and astronomers present Stewards Space Spectacular, plenty of Space-related hands-on activities for Primary School children and their parents on a Saturday.

2009*Attracted two local astronomers to help deliver space education to our students and the wider community.

*Applied for and won a telescope from the Society for Popular Astronomy (SPA).

*Our students attend Institute of Physics lectures on space themes.

*Started the Community Space watch evenings for our students, primary school children, their parents and the community led by our local astronomers.

*Borrowed Moon Rocks and Meteors from STFC.

*Took our Community Space Watch evening to another secondary school in Harlow for their students.

*Primary School Space Story Competition (12 schools)

2009*Our students attend the SPA conference and collect their telescope. (Yr7 and Yr8)

*NSEW: Space Camp Competition (Yr7 and Yr8)

*Attend the School Observing Night at the University of Hertfordshire’s observatory (Yr 7, 8 and 10)

*Students attend European Week of Astronomy and Space Science Schools Day, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield. Visit to Astrium site.

*Y7 team take part in the National Physical Laboratory's Water Rocket Competition.

2009*Our students provided a Space Trail at Harlow Town library for primary school children and their parents

*Space related science clubs for our students

*Stewards students, staff and astronomers present Stewards Space Spectacular, plenty of Space-related hands-on activities for Primary School children and their parents on a Saturday.

*Students attended IoP 2009 School and Colleges lecture on Exploring the Universe presented by Dr Andy Newsam.
