• Our math program is called Investigations Math.
• The goal of this program is to develop students who understand math concepts and are efficient and flexible when solving problems.
• Students must learn their multiplication and division facts this year thru 12s. [Goal = 100 in 5 min.]

Change in the definition of mathematics: from procedures to conceptual understanding
Change in the vision of a classroom and teaching: from transmission to fostering development

Weekly Star Homework:-The goal is for each child
to finish 12 activities by the end of the week
• Must choose a different activity for each night practiced throughout the week
• Staple to the “STAR Homework” slip
At this time, we’re planning our field trip destinations.
The cost of these activities this year will range from $25.00-$35.00 per student including transportation. As extracurricular activities, our funding for field trips is extremely limited.
Our ability to continue to providesuch experiences for studentsis dependent on donations fromour community.
