New General Managers join Murrindindi ranks
Murrindindi Shire Councils executive management team has been completed with theappointment of Rob Cherry and Andrew Bainbridge.
Councils Chief Executive OfficerMargaret Abbey said the contracted positions would supportand enhance Councils operations, as it continued the massive rebuilding commitment acrossthe shire.
Mr Cherry is Councils General Manager of Corporate and Community Services and joinsCouncil from the Outdoor Education Group where he was Director of Finance for the past sevenyears.
I am looking forward to making a difference in Council and supporting the community, MrCherry said.

nctions and delivery of services to the commu
nity are effectiveand efficient, Mr Cherry said.
I have inherited a very good team and through a strong collaboration we can continue to deliverand improve in business excellence.
Mr Cherry lives in Eildon and is married to Anita and has three children.
Mr Bainbridge is Councils General Manager Infrastructure Services and has held severalpositions at regional and country councils with his last appointment as Director InfrastructureServices at Hindmarsh Shire Council.

I will be consolidating the good work already done internally into new or enhanced corporatesystems that will improve service outcomes. What we hope to achieve is improved customerservice through timely advice and outcomes.
Mr Bainbridge will be responsible for Councils asset management, project delivery, wastemanagement and infrastructure maintenance.

There are certainly challenges in minimising costs and maximising opportunities to maintain,develop and enhance community assets, waste collection and disposal as well as projectmanagement and delivery.
Mr Bainbridge is married to Vicki and has two children.
Ms Abbey said the team was looking forward to the challenges of delivering for the people ofMurrindindi.
We are looking forward to working closely with our staff, Councillors and community to bringabout the best results for our shire in terms of growth, livability, opportunities for young peopleand infrastructure needs, Ms Abbey said.
Our goals and aspirations align with Councils four year plan and we are determined to meetthose objectives set out in that plan.
