3. The allowable stress code for ASME calculation has been corrected.4. Some bugs have been fixed.

MT-VESS Revision 5.02 (October 1996)

1. The program has been completely revised to allow running from differentdirectories.

2. The input phase has been completely revised and the functions of inserting, selecting, copying and deleting input files has been introduced.

3. The possibility to force the number and size of anchor bolts and the base ring hasbeen added to the skirt input.

4. The unit weight for packing, inerts and catalyst can be specified in input. If giventhis value overrides the one set per default by the program.

NOTICE!!!The input/output file format of the vessels has been changed .Old input files generated with the version 5.01 must be modified with the programVESUPG.EXE to be read by the new version 5.02 of the program.

MT-VESS Revision 5.01 (March 1996)

1. The management of input data related to Elements, Nozzles and Internals hasbeen modified in order to know at a glance how many parts are present in thevessel.

2. The codes for the external pressure calculation have been added to the generalquantities. These codes apply to all the vessel elements unless they are modifiedat level of singular element.

3. The maximum stiffening rings number in the external pressure calculation hasbeen replaced by the minimum distance between adjacent rings.

4. The help function related to the rating and nominal diameter has been added to thenozzle data screen so to make easier the nozzles data input.

5. The results printout on disk are now stored in the file NAME.PRN where NAMEis the filename of the calculation; so every calculation is stored now apart.

6. Lower case letters can be used when answering the program question Y/N.7. Nozzles definition and positioning on the drawing has been completely revised

and implemented.8. The following materials have been added to the materials database:

1131 FE E 390 KW UNI 7382-751132 FE 35-1 UNI 663-681133 FE 410 KW UNI 7660-771135 FE 35-2 UNI 663-681142 FE 45-1 UNI 663-68

NOTICE!!!The input/output file format of the vessels has been changed .Old input files generated with the version 5.00 must be modified with the programVESUPG.EXE to be read by the new version 5.01 of the program.

MT-VESS Revision 5.00 (November 1995)

1. General revision of the ASTM materials to keep the Data Bank updated with the1995 Edition of the ASME Code.

2. General revision of the ASME charts for vacuum to keep the Data Bank updatedwith the 1995 Edition of the ASME Code. All the ASME charts that was missingin the program have been introduced.

MT-VESS Revision 4.03(September 1995)

1. The trays input specification has been changed to allow the specification of all thetrays pack independently from the column elements subdivision. The elevation ofthe first tray of the pack is now given from the vessel bottom reference line andthe number of the trays is the total number of the trays belonging to the pack. Theprogram provides for the correct distribution of the trays over the singularelements.

2. The selection of the valve trays type has been greatly simplified allowing now togive only the number of passes (1, 2, 3, 4). The program provides for thedefinition and for the positioning of the different trays types in case of 2 and 4passes.

3. The distance of the upper skirt section has been corrected on the vessel drawing.4. The drawing of the valve trays with three and four passes has been added to the

column drawing.

NOTICE!!!The input/output file format of the vessels has been changed .Old input files generated with the version 4.02 must be modified with the programVESUPG.EXE to be read by the new version 4.03 of the program.

MT-VESS Revision 4.02(September 1995)

1. A control has been put in the program to check the congruency between the vesselposition and the vessel support.

2. The spherical head positioning on the vessel drawing has been corrected. The concavity was reversed for type 2 heads.

3. The specific gravity of the insulation material has been inserted in the input datascreen. The value defaults to 300 Kg/m3 if not specified.

4. The table of LOADING DATA on the sheet 1 of the vessel drawing has beenmodified to allow the writing of numbers bigger than 99999.

5. The field “service” on the table CONNECTIONS of the sheet 1 of the vesseldrawing has been corrected to avoid characters overwriting.

MT-VESS Revision 4.01(June 1995)

1. The display of error after the initial vessel check has been introduced to allow theerror correction.

2. The address of the field “MAX DIAM.FOR MAT.L SELECT.” related to thesecond class on the screen 1ST MISCELL has been corrected.

3. The default values have been shown on the input data screens.4. The filename management has been changed.

Only the name can now be specified and the program automatically insert theextension PVI.In this way it is easier to recognize the input files of the program MT-VES.

CAUTION! Due to the change in filename management, the old filenames must be

renamed as follows:

REN old_name old_name.pvi

5. The filename is now reprinted on the page heading of the calculation results.
