COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis COURSE covers workshop practice using workshop layout plan, safety signage, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, personal protection equipment (PPE), emergency rescue manual, tools inventory, bench fitting tools and equipment, hand tools set, measuring tools, material for fitting work, technical drawing equipment, project blue print, cutting tool so that workshop safety rules implemented, fire extinguisher handling and first aid treatment conducted; workshop tools and equipments arranged; layout and marking work piece, material cutting, metal surface filing, metal drilling and tapping in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure.ONTENT AND LEARNING STANDARDSPROGRAM:AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

1.1.1 Provide a chart layout referred to workshop standard practice

1.1.2 Identify and interpret emergency exit, safety sign ,fire extinguisher and first aid kit location

1.2.1 Demonstrate 5S practice and clean-up before and after practical work in accordance with 5S practices

1.2.2 Comply with the safety requirements referred to Occupational Safety and Health Act .(OSHA).

1.3.1 Clean and arrange workshop equipments used as in the workshop pratice standards.

1.3.2 Comply with safety signs referred to Occupational Safety and Health Act Occupational Safety and Health Act.(OSHA).

1.3.3 Ensure the periodical maintenance of fire extinguishers referred to Occupational Safety and Health Act.(OSHA)

1.4.1 Provide first-aid kit at the workshop referred to Occupational Safety and Health Act.(OSHA)

1.4.2 Demonstrate basic first-aid treatment referred to Occupational Safety and Health Act.(OSHA)
