Dearly beloved in Christ,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

We are glad that once again we are reaching Easter at the end of this month . We are passing through the

Lent season. Lent is the season which resets our priorities. That is why we are trying to discipline not only

in our food choices but also in our whole life style. Whether we give priority to God's way of truth, love

and justice or world's way of power, pleasure and prestige. St. Paul says I have nothing to boast in my life

other than the Cross. From where we will get the power to walk and discipline or to reset our priorities.

Peter says in his second letter Ch. 1: 3,4 that His (Jesus Christ's) divine power 'hast granted us all things

that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that called us by His own glory and vir-

tue; where by he hath granted us his precious and exceeding great promises; That through these we may

become partakers of the divine nature , having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust. So this power enables us

for (a) Faith (b) virtue (c) knowledge (d) Self- control (e) steadfastness (f) godliness (g) brotherly affection and finally (h)

love. That this empowerment begins with faith and leads to love. At the entrance of a church from the outside it is written that

'Enter for Worship' and from the inside when one exits, through the same door, it is written that 'Depart to Serve'. So faith em-

powers us to come together for worship and to go out to serve.

I wish you all, in advance, a Happy celebration of our victory over death through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In the mid of the month our beloved Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulose Thirumeni will be with us. We are hosting Western Re-

gional Sevika Sangham conference on 16th Saturday. We are planning a one day Leadership Meeting especially for our church

executive committee members, organizational secretaries along with their families. I request everyone to prayerfully plan to

attend all these meetings and passion week services.

Your's in Christ's service,

This past twelve months has been eventful with the finest cooperation of all the mem-

bers (General Body). The committee and organizations acted fully as a catalyst to bring

about successful programs and activities. As the new committee with the new organiza-

tional representatives takes charge on March 10, we want to offer our best support and

wishes for a fruitful year ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sin-

cere appreciation to some of the best and resourceful people I had a chance to work

with during the past year. My experiences have been rewarding, educational and en-

lightening due to some of the smartest and most interesting people I had the chance to

interface with. While it hasn’t been all conflict free, my overall experience has been one of positive

teamwork leading to positive gains and remarkable result for the entire congregation.

Let us extend our support and cooperation to the incoming Secretary Mr. Soney Jones.

This is the time to examine ourselves during this Lent Season. What does it mean for you and me? Are we true to our beliefs, discharging faithfully the duties assigned to us and expected of us? We have to go before our Lord and give an accounting of the way we discharge our duties.

May the Almighty help you all to be His servant in the days ahead.

Very Sincerely yours, Nell Thomas, Secretary
