You just dont feel confident and you are expected to be totally proficient on it when school begins in just a few days. You already have assignments that need to be done on this new system. What would be the most appropriate avenue for you to take? Go to the Apple store in the mall and pay $100.00 for lessons. Call your old friend in Louisiana that has a Mac and try over the phone crash tutorials. Go to a web based teaching module and get great at home tutorials. Watch YouTube tutorials on Using your Mac Book even though they are fast and assume you have more knowledge than you actually do! Slide 67 TRY AGAIN Slide 68 Slide 69 Slide 70 Going to the Apple store is expensive and time consuming. You would totally annoy your friend!! YouTube is great but they move terrible fast and you need more time and in depth direction. The best option would be to go to http://internet4classrooms.com/self_paced_modules.htm and use their self-paced training. It is comprehensive, makes little assumptions of knowledge or skill level, and you can do them at home in your sweats sitting on the couch!!! It doesnt get any easier than that http://internet4classrooms.com/self_paced_modules.htm Menu Slide 71 Question 15 Totally frustrated over a parents claim that you are NOT using that expensive technology that they helped pay for, you are determined to have a homework assignment that assesses interactively using that EXPENSIVE technology. But where do you look for some ideas for interactive assessment? Remember your plans are due in two days so your time is short!! Is there a website that has some already done that you could modify? What is your best option? Your best option is to go to the computer teacher and hope she can help you before your plans are due. How about using a web based site that has some assessments already made that you could probably modify to what you are studying. Your best option is to make a research assignment that requires that parent to work with the child themselves to better understand how difficult the task really becomes. Ignore the parent and just keep doing things the way you always have. You havent had problems before now with your curriculum. If it isnt broken, dont fix it.
