CHIC N SCRATCH® 2 MUG RUG - NOVEMBER 2020

1. Cut four 3-1/2” squares of two different fabrics for a total of eight squares. You could also use eight different paWerns of fabric.

2. Cut one piece of ba8ng 6-1/2” square.

3. Start with top row and place right sides together and sew them together, Repeat on row two. Press the seams to the dark side and sew row one to row two. This is the front of the mug rug. Repeat these steps for the back of the mug rug. Press the seams open.

4. Add the front of the mug rug on top of the ba8ng and then place the back of the mug rug right side facing down (facing the front fabric).

5. Sew around the sides, but leave a small gap so that you can turn it right sides out.

6. Trim around all four corners with your scissors and then turn it right sides out. Use a tool to push the corners out.

7. Press the mug rug and then sew the opening closed. You can use some glue if you struggle with this step

8. Place the mug rug back on your sewing machine and sctch to the led of each sctch line, repeat on each sctch line.

9. Press it again and cut the extra threads.
