Introduction
The MULTI PARAMETER DATA ACQUISITION
working on an IBM or compatible personal computer is a
powerful program for multiple-parameter experiments based on
the CAMAC standard.
It includes hardware setup, experiment control, fast data
collection, file access and management, as well as monitoring
operations, data import and export and graphic display.
Properties Up to 23 modules, arranged in one CAMAC crate, with up to 512 parameters
can easily be included into the measurement.
The open character of the program and the industrial CAMAC standard allows to use in principle any CAMAC module.
A lot of modules as ADC's, TDC's, and scalers are directly supported.
Up to 16 colour-scatter plots (2-parameter display) or single channel spectra (1-parameter display) can be displayed simultaneously.
Additional a first order spectrum analyze as well as the definition oflogic conditions (4-fold gate) is possible.
Module operation All modules included into the measurement are
operated in the "master trigger" mode, i.e. a simultaneous
data collection of all parameters is triggered by the LAM (CAMAC Look-At-Me)
given by one in particular defined module. This module
which is fixed in the <EXPERIMENT /SET-UP
EXPERIMENT / OPTIONS> is characterized by an
enabled LAM line in contrast to the other modules where
the LAM lines are automatically disabled.
Secondary parameters To get a rough on-line data analysis secondary parameters can be
defined and derived from the real measured data. (Ex.) P12 = (P1-P7)/(P1+P7)*1000.
Summary MULTI 1.1-powerfil program for multiple-
parameter experiments (CAMAC based). In the same time task of configuration and
programming a system of CAMAC modules for specific experiments becomes very simple.
Provides specific abilities for on-line basic data analysis .
Giving possibilities for basic data treatment during measurements etc.
