Prevention culture on work place level helps to build a healthy organisation

A healthy organisation is "one whose culture, management, working climate and other business practices create an environment that promotes the health, effectiveness and performance of its employees" (Enterprise for Health network (EfH), 2008).

What does it mean in practice and how labour inspection can participate and help to extend the range of such organizations that can be called „healthy organisations“?

• Special approach and focused to SMEs

• Special attention focused on high-risk sectors

• Providing enlightenment: „Good labour practices mean good business for the employer“ or „Good for you. Good for your business.“

• Inspector should not have the image of a policeman

• System approach implementation – all shortcomings are due to „bad management“

• Satisfied and healthy employees – satisfied employers
