The Multiflow SEM and SEL ranges are simple, quick and easy to install on site as a result of their lightweight, compact casing design and integral mounting bracket. All units can be mounted at any angle and include maintenance free motors for speed control.

The Multiflow SEM also includes a rotating fan section, which allows the terminal box to be positioned to suit site requirements, facilitating easy electrical connection and access to the fan without affecting the ductwork.

Available in three different casing materials, the Multiflow SEM and SEL ranges offer added flexibility for installation in arduous environments.

The Multiflow SEM and SEL ranges of high pressure fans are extremely efficient in comparison to other in-line, axial and centrifugal fans currently available on the market with significant reductions in power consumption and up to half the running costs against a comparable centrifugal fan.

Savings compared to a centrifugal fan

Up to half the running costs against a comparable centrifugal fan.

These savings are achieved through the intricate, optimised design and arrangement of impeller and aerodynamic guide vanes. Coupled with AC and EC motor variants and carefully selected control packages, these products deliver maximum efficiency and operational performance.

The outstanding design of both the Multiflow SEM and SEL ranges allow for smaller diameter units to be utilised whilst still achieving the same airflow. This also facilitates the use of smaller ducting, reducing overall system costs, perfect for projects where space is at a premium.

In addition, the innovative mixed flow impeller provides lower noise levels than can be achieved with comparative centrifugal fans.

The EC models within the Multiflow range are so highly efficient that smaller units can be selected to reduce costs, whilst still achieving the required airflow. In addition, the EC motors are not subject to noise levels associated with ‘motor hum’ in AC models under speed control.

Multiflow ECEfficiency requirements are the primary reason to select an EC unit over an AC one with the greatest benefits achieved through maintaining fan efficiency at partial loads / reduced speeds.

AC• Higher efficiency than equivalent AC motor, due to CFD optimised impeller and guide vanes • Three speed motor removing 'motor hum' associated with electronic voltage speed control • No turbulence

Multiflow ACThe use of 3D stator guide vanes to recover dynamic pressure loss which results in turbulent pressure being turned into useful pressure, coupled with optimum tip clearance between impeller and case to maximise flow rate creates an improved efficiency AC fan against standard AC.

Motor

Three speed AC induction motor with an in-built thermostatic switch or EC motor with internal electronic temperature monitoring.

High efficiency EC units are suitable for use with 0-10V control signal or separate potentiometer.

Impeller

High efficiency diagonal mixed flow impeller with three dimensional guide vanes.

Operating temperatures

AC units from -25°C to +60°C (model dependant).

EC units from -30°C to +45°C (model dependant).

Our carefully selected packaged products offer greater functionality and control. All units supplied from Elta are fully optimised to ensure the fan and its controller are perfectly matched for maximum operational efficiency.

The extensive Multiflow SEL range is available in three phase AC and EC variants from 150mm to 710mm diameter, with integrated variable speed drives or EC controller to deliver further enhanced performance.

Multiflow SEL three phase units are not suitable for operation without the applicable controller and are not available as individual items.

Optional Control Functions

The use of SEL fans with combined controls allows optimised speed control and adaptability with Building Management Systems; further reducing energy demands by operating only at the required ventilation rates rather than based on the maximum ventilation rate within the building. The possibility to interface with other control systems allows simple monitoring of operation, providing information on fan status and early warning of any issue with the ventilation; protection to the fan is built-in, reducing the need for further equipment to be purchased.

Navigating the Program

To navigate between the main areas of the program, simply use the main navigation buttons at the top. The program highlights the button to show which area of the program you are in. A dedicated Help source is available with the ability to define common default settings.

Selecting a Fan

Basic mode: allows you to use a 5 step process to determine suitable fans, or alternatively, use a single Product Code.

Advanced mode: gives you complete control over the criteria for selecting your fan.
