Student AttendanceRemote Learning Guidelines for Families

One of the most important ways that families and caregivers can partner with schools on strong student attendance during remote learning is to ensure that the school has accurate and up-to-date contact information on file

ndash Email addresses that are least likely to change during the school year

ndash Phone numberndash Address (if you have moved please update with school

Parents Responsibilities - Attendancebull Continue to call students off at the schoolrsquos main

phone line when your child will be absent from remote learning for the day

bull Communicate with teachers via email when your child is unable to attend the live lesson but will completed associated work Students are considered present when they watch recorded lessons andor complete assignments as directed by the teacher

disabilities that impact their academic performancebull While the District is in Remote Learning all special education services will be delivered remotely

support services necessary to facilitate the homeless childs transition into

school and to ensure the childs success and ongoing participation in the

One of the most important ways that families and caregivers can partner with schools on strong student attendance during remote learning is to ensure that the school has accurate and up-to-date contact information on file

In-School Advisory Sessions October-April

Groups of 10-15 students are led by a team of two or three mentors (supported by a CMSD teacher) at their school for two hours each month completing a formal curriculum on personal development and career awareness

Special Educationbull Special Education is a continuum of services and supports designed for children who have

disabilities that impact their academic performancebull While the District is in Remote Learning all special education services will be delivered remotely

and through teletherapy services The services in your childrsquos IEP will be implemented through virtualremote meansndash In-person services will resume once it is safe to do sondash You can request an IEP meeting at any time to discuss your childrsquos remote services
