يم� ح� الر� م�ن� ح الر� الل�ه� م� ب�س

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

ذ�اق� ال�ذ�ي ذ�ا م�ن �لـه�ي إب�ت�ك� ح� م� الو�ة� ،ح�

My God, who can have tasted the sweetness of Your love,

Munajaat #9 - The Whispered Prayers of the Lovers

ب�د�ال$؟ ن ك� م� رام� ف�

then wanted another in place of You?


أ�ن�س� ال�ذ�ي ذ�ا و�م�نب�ك� ر ،ب�ق-

Who can have become intimate with Your nearness,


و�ال$؟ ح� ع�ن ك� اب ت�غ�ى ف�

then sought removal from You?


ن� م� م� ع�ل نا اج ف� �لـه�ي إب�ك� ر ل�ق- ي ت�ه- ط�ف� اص

My God, place us with him،و�و�الي�ت�ك�whom You have chosen for

Your nearness and Your friendship,


د> ك� ل�و- ت�ه ل�ص أ�خ و�ب�ت�ك� ح� ،و�م�


purified through Your affection and Your love,

ائ�ك� ل�ق� إ�لى ت�ه- و�ق ،و�ش�


given yearning for the meeting with You,

ضائ�ك� ب�ق� ي ت�ه- ض� ،و�ر�

made pleased with Your decree,


إلى ب�الن�ظ�ر� ت�ه- ن�ح و�م�ك� ه� ،و�ج

granted gazing upon Your face,


ب�ر�ضاك� ت�ه- ب�و ،و�ح�


shown the favour of Your good pleasure,

ر�ك� ه�ج م�ن ع�د ت�ه-أ� و�

،و�ق�الك�given refuge from separation from You and Your loathing,


ف�ي ـد ق� الص> ع�د� ق م� ت�ه- أ ب�و� و�

وار�ك� ،ج�settled in a sure sitting place

in Your neighbourhood,


ت�ك� ع ر�ف� ب�م� ت�ه- ص ،و�خ�ص�

singled out for true knowledge of You,


ل�ع�باد�ت�ك� ل ت�ه- ه�أ� ،و�

made worthy for worship of You,


�راد�ت�ك� إل� ل ب�ه- ق� ي�م ت� ،و�ه�

whose heart You have captivated with Your will,


د�ت�ك� ل�م-شاه� ت�ب�ي ت�ه- ،و�اج

whom You have picked for contemplating You,


ل�ك� ه- ه� و�ج ل�ي ت� أ�خ ،و�

whose look You have made empty for You,


ب>ـك� ل�ح- ؤاد�ه- ف- غ ت� ر� ،و�ف�

whose breast You have freed for Your love,


ن د�ك� ع� ا يم� ف� غ�ب ت�ه- ،و�ر�

whom You have made desirous of what is with You,


ك� ذ�ك ر� ت�ه- م ل ه�� أ ،و�

inspired with Your remembrance,


ك� ك ر� ش- ع ت�ه- و ز�أ� ،و�

allotted thanksgiving to You,


ب�طاع�ت�ك� غ�ل ت�ه- ،و�ش�

occupied with obeying You,


صال�ح�ي م�ن ت�ه- ي�ر و�ص�ي�ت�ك� ،ب�ر�

turned into one of Your righteous creatures,


ناجات�ك� ل�م- ت�ه- ت�ر ،و�اخ

chosen for whispered prayer to You,


Tء ي ش� ك-ل� ع�ن ه- و�ق�ط�ع ت�ع�ن ك� ط�ع-ه- .ي�ق

and from whom You have cut off all things which cut him

off from You!


م- ا ب-ه- د�أ م�م�ن ع�ل ن�ا اج م� �لل�ه-

ن�ين- ال ح� و� إل�ي ك� ت�ياح- ،االر

O God, place us among those whose habit is

rejoicing in You and yearning for You,


ة- ر� ف الز� ه-م- ر- د�ه و� whose time is spent in sighing،و�األ�ن�ين-

and moaning!


Zة�د اج� س� م باه-ه- ج�ت�ك� Their foreheads are bowed،ل�ع�ظ�م�

down before Your mightiness,


ف�ي Zة ر� ساه� م و�ع-ي-ون-ه-ت�ك� د م� their eyes wakeful in Your،خ�

service,


ن م� Zة�سائ�ل م و-ع-ه- د-م- و�ي�ت�ك� ش ،خ�

their tears flowing in dread of You,


Zة ت�ع�ل>ـق� م- م ل-وب-ه- و�ق-ب�ت�ك� ح� ،ب�م�

their hearts fixed upon Your love,


ن م� Zة�ل�ع ن خ� م- م ئ�د�ت-ه- فأ� و�

their cores shaken with awe،م�هاب�ت�ك�of You.


ه� د س� ق- ن وار-� أ م�ن يا

Zة رائ�ق� ب>ـيه� ح� م- �ب صار� ،أل�

O He the lights of whose holiness induce wonder in

the eyes of His lovers,


ل-وب� ل�ق- ه� ه� و�ج ب-حات- و�س- Zة شائ�ق� ،عار�فيه�

the glories of whose face arouse the longing of the

hearts of His knowers!


ل-وب� ق- م-نى ياتاق�ين� O Furthest Wish of the،ال م-ش

hearts of the yearners!


ب>ـين� ح� ال م- آمال� غ�اي�ة� و�يا

O Utmost Limit of the hopes of the lovers!


ن م� و�ح-ب� ب�ك� ح- أ�ل-ك� سأ�

بeك� ,I ask from You love for You،ي-ح�love for those who love

You,


ل-ن�ي ي-وص� Tل�م�ع ك-ل> و�ح-ب�ب�ك� ر ق- ،إلى

love for every work which will join me to Your

nearness,


ا م� م� إل�ي� ب� أ�ح� ع�ل�ك� ت�ج أ�ن و�واك� س�

and that You make Yourself more beloved to me than anything other than You


إي�اك� ب>ـي ح- ع�ل� ت�ج أ�ن و�وان�ك� ر�ض إلى ،قائ�دا$

and make my love for You lead to Your good pleasure,


ع�ن ذائ�دا$ إل�ي ك� و ق�ي و�ش�يان�ك� ،ع�ص

and my yearning for You protect against disobeying

You!


ع�ل�ي� إل�ي ك� ب�الن�ظ�ر� ن-ن ام ،و�

Oblige me by allowing me to gaze upon You,


د> ال و- ب�ع�ي ن� ان ظ-ر و�إل�ي� ال ع�ط ف� gaze upon me with the eye،و�

of affection and tenderness,


ك� ه� و�ج ع�ن>ـي ر�ف ت�ص ،و�ال

turn not Your face away from me,


ل� أ�ه م�ن ع�ل ن�ي و�اجن د�ك� ع� ظ و�ة� ال ح- و� عاد� ،اإل�س

and make me one of the people of happiness with

You and favoured position!


يب- م-ج� ،يا

O Responder,


ين� م� اح� الر� م� ح� رأ� يا

O Most Merciful of the merciful!
