WEDNESDAYIf awake in time head to aldi for ice for beers on train to amsterdam.TRAIN FROM MUNICH TO AMSTERDAM IS AT 10:16, gate 22, ICE 880

München Hbf 11.12. ab 10:16 GATE 22Hannover Hbf 11.12. an 14:32 GATE 7 ICE 880

Hannover Hbf 11.12. ab 14:40 GATE 12 IC 144 Amsterdam Centraal 11.12. an 18:59 GATE 14b

So we must get from platform 7 to platform 12 onto IC144 to Amsterdam in 8 minutes.

I asked a Hanover expert on the tripadvisor forum about getting from platform 7 to 12, this was her response:

In Hannover there are escalators down at one end, up the other end of the platform.

if you can, board the train at the back (or close to middle/board restaurant) in Munich to be near the escalators going down, then you need to turn right. If you board at the front, you will have to walk either to the lift, all the way to the escalators down or take the stairs.

For platform 12 to get to the escalators going up you need to turn left (or you take the lift in the middle)

Did you book a saver or a standard fare ticket? If you miss the connection and travel on a saver ticket you can take a later train at no extra charge. Go to the service point to getit confirmed on your ticket that you missed the connection due to delays - it is no requirement but makes life easier.

Additionally you can money refunded - 25% if delayed more than an hour, 50% if more than two hours. No action needed on standard fare, still if you want to claim money backin case of delay get the delay confirmed on ticket, makes it easier.

Also:Make sure you are the door when the train pulls in so that you dont get stuck in this slow moving cue, also if you are stuck or you need to walk far to the stairs then get to theother side of the platform since everyone moves along the train and often the opposit side of the platform is free and you can quickly pass everyone and be downstairs first.

The easiest thing to do and to always be on the safe side is if you miss your connection in Hannover just go to the desk, they will issue you a new ticket and if you had it beforea new seat reservation it is 5 minutes work and you have two hours to kill waiting for your next train anyway. And they can give you the refund form as well which you can thenhand in to them.

I also some research and found the following 2 maps of Hannover train station:

After that free forwhatever the night. Could give Skek a go for a bit? Wander for a bit then end up in De Buurvrouw if we ’re up for it, gets good around 1 apparently.

Football is on but it's not the be all and end all, 8:45 the games kick off over there. If we're happy ogling for a bit i wouldn't worry about it. Games on that might be worthwatching are:

Marseille vs Dortmund. Napoli v Arsenal. Ajax are away to Milan - this could complicate things! Barcelona vs Celtic

Stones Cafe is also right by our hotelHotel the globe might be worth a lookWe went to susie's saloon last time which is nearby and will have football on.
