Munkegaard chair, also known as the Mosquito,

was created in 1955 by celebrated Danish designer

and architect Arne Jacobsen. Introduced in 1955 at

the Munkegaard School in Denmark, it is an excellent

example of Jacobsen’s work: unexpected,

elegant, and edgy.
