Muscat Overseas Oilfield Supplies Co. ( MOOSCO ) is a part of Muscat Overseas Group which was established in 1974, a group of companies which has been in the forefront, since the beginning of the renaissance period of the Sultanate of Oman. It has grown to be one of the front runner among the leading business organizations in the Sultanate of Oman. The group is jointly owned by its Chairman His Excellency Sheikh Mustahail Bin Ahmed Al Mashani, who is State adviser to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said . The day to day activities of the group are looked after by his son His Excellency Sheikh Salim bin Mustahail Al Mashani who is the vice Chairman of the Company and also act as advisor at the Diwan of Royal Court . The group’s interest extends to diverse activities in the areas of development of independent power projects , Oilfield sector Equipment & Service trading , Industrial and Marine equipment trading, irrigation, & landscaping, agro trading, Logistics Management , sponsoring / promoting new ventures in the manufacturing and service sector, etc . The Group has major real estate ownership, significant investment in banking, insurance, service and manufacturing sectors in the Sultanate of Oman. It also has joint ventures in South Africa , Tanzania , Botswana , Mozambique , Angola and Dubai ( UAE ) and currently pursuing JV opportunities in other countries.
