Sunburn- Muse..Narrative.

Low budget.

Use of instruments.Nothing that costs much, just a simple setting with a camera, cast and instruments.

Lots of hand held camera, giving the audience the tense feeling of the song.

Narrative is very fictional, lots of imaginary scenes.

Low budget production values.

Page 7: Muse powerpoint

Plug in baby- Muse..

Performance.

Narrative.

More money spent on this one, includes special effects.

However, still quite a low budget production values.

Indecent imagery of women- hardly any clothes on.

Men fully clothed.

Plenty of voyeurism.

Very fictional.

Page 8: Muse powerpoint

Invincible – Muse..

Performance.

Narrative.

Use of instruments.

Voyeurism.

Fictional.

Seems to be higher in budget.

Mise-en-scene such as props, costumes, backgrounds etc..

Wants the audience to feel like the singers are on a roller-coaster.

As the music gets more tense and upbeat the narrative seems to become more tense, such as dull colours, fire, etc..

Page 9: Muse powerpoint

Time is running out- Muse..Performance.

Narrative.

Use of instruments.

Lighting is very dull and quite calm colours, however when the chorus of the song comes the colours appear very dangerous and tense, reds and blacks etc..

Non-fiction.

No special affects, seems like it was a low budget video.Dancers are very

perfectly in time, until the chorus appears, could show that when the ‘time runs out’ everything will go wrong.

Page 10: Muse powerpoint

Uprising – Muse..

Narrative.

Fictional- dolls becoming alive.

Real life people (the band) same size as the dolls.

Performance, use of instruments.

Explosives.

Dolls start to melt by the fire, shows that the band (muse) have power and are “victorious”.

Teddy’s come alive and turn evil.

Page 11: Muse powerpoint

Animals – Muse..

Narrative.

Shows humans acting like and been treat like animals.

Narrative shows a human being used for animal testing.

Average in budget.

At the end finally shows the man being treat like a human.
