Hola Amigo !Ja, sorry. Es ist mal wieder spät geworden mit der Fertigstellung dieser Ausgabe. Aber wie das immer so ist, türmen sich die Aufgaben meist stets kurz vor Schluss zu einem unüberwindbaren Arbeitsberg auf.

Diesen Monat blicken wir nicht nur auf150 Ausgaben zurück, sondern auch auf die mittlerweile siebeneinhalb Jahre in unserer Office Location in der Arnoldstraße. Ende April ist nämlich ein großer Umzug in die kleinere Location angesagt. Mit ein bisschen Wehmut, aber auch viel neuer Energie geht es zusammen mit Freshflyer in die Griegstraße 52. Eine kleine Eröffnungsparty in den neuen Räumen werden wir veranstalten, wenn wir es uns dort gemütlich gemacht haben. Als Kunde, Leser oder Newsletter-Empfänger (mushroom-online.com/member) wirst Du auf jeden Fall erfahren, wann das sein wird.

Zusammen mit der vorliegenden 150. Ausgabe des mushroom ist auch der brasilianische Trancers Guide To The Galaxy (auf Portugiesisch) erschienen. Die englische Version liegt in diesem Monat für alle Abonennten bei. Im nächsten Monat feiern wir 14. mushroom Geburtstag und haben die Ehre, dies Umsonst und Draußen inmitten der Fußgängerzone Große Bergstraße in Hamburg-Altona während des größten Stadtteilfestes Hamburgs, der Altonale, zu begehen. Einen ganzen Tag beschallen wir einen mit Strandsand aufgefüllten Open Air Floor. Das Ganze startet am Samstag den 7. Juni um 12 Uhr und endet nach dem Sonnenuntergang mit einer Feuershow-Performance gegen 23 Uhr. Wir freuen uns auf Dich! This month we are not only looking back upon 150 editions but also upon seven and a half years in our office location at Arnoldstraße. By the end of April we will be moving into a smaller location. While looking back with some melancholy together with Freshflyer and full of new energy we are also looking forward to our new home.

Besides this 150. edition of the mushroom also the Brazilian Trancers Guide To The Galaxy (in Portuguese) has been published. All subscribers should receive one this month. If you are no subscriber you can still order the Trancers Guide at mushroom-online.com at cost-price.

Coming month we will celebrate the 14th mushroom birthday and do have the honour to do this free and outside amidst a pedestrian-zone during one of the largest district festivals of Hamburg, the Altonale. For a whole day we will be filling this pedestrian zone gone sandy beach as our open air floor with sound. Starting on a Saturday, 7th of June at 12 a.m. and ending after sunset with a fireshow approximately at 11 p.m.. We are expecting you! Und als ich die erste kopierte vier-seitige Ausgabe des „your personal mushroom“ Ende Mai 1994 in der Provinz zwischen Hamburg, Han-nover und Bremen verteilte, ging es eigentlich auch mehr darum, den „mushroom club“ zu promoten, der

Aber der Clubgedanke wurde relativ bald verworfen und mehr Engagement in das Heft gesteckt, welches im Oktober 1995 bereits von der 5000er Schwarzweiss-Auflage in A5 auf vollfarbig A6 relaunchte und mit einer 20.000er-Auf-lage norddeutschlandweit verteilt wurde.

1996-1997Ab Februar 1996 begann die thematische Aufteilung in Techno und Trance mit den ersten Berichten über die damals explodierende Hamburger Psytrance-Szene. Psy-trance gewann über die Monate immer mehr an Ober-hand. Da es deutschlandweit Tranceparties gab, aber noch kein Magazin dafür, wurde der Ruf lauter nach der nationalen Verteilung des Heftes.

2001Im Jahr 2001 beschäf-tigten wir uns stark mit der Erschaffung unse-rer eigenen Website mushroom-online.com, welche wir im Septem-ber eröffneten, kurz bevor die beiden Flugzeuge in das World Trade Cen-ter einschlugen. Die Welt hing schief, doch wir starte-ten unsere schon geplanten internationalen mushrooms im Januar 2002 mit einem legendären Trance History Artikels unseres Star-Redak-teurs Kai Mathesdorf.

2002Während es 2001 noch mög-lich war, einzelne CD Kopien zu verfolgen, brachten das MP3 Format und immer grö-ßere Bandbreiten die Möglich-keit Musik über das Netz zu verbreiten. Die Konsequenz für uns war es unseren CD-Laden im Sommer 2002 zu schließen und den Mailorderbetrieb an trance-shop.com zu verkaufen. Den CD Shop führten derweil Astrid und Thorsten von Kisch Kusch wei-ter. Die weltweite Wirkung von 9/11 und das Platzen der Dot Com Blase kam in dieser Zeit auch im Geldbeu-tel der Trance-Szene an. Und auch dem mushroom ging es deshalb weiter an den Kragen...

2003Mit abgespecktem Team hatten wir die Idee den mushroom von der Rub-rik drugstore zu tren-nen, um so den Mediaa-genturen einen „cleanen“ mushroom zu präsentie-ren und Anzeigenplätze an Markenartikler zu ver-kaufen. Im drugstore

2002Whereas one still had a chance in 2001 to trace single copies of CD s the MP3 Format and fast growing bandwidth cre-ated the possibility to distri-bute music through the net. As a result we had to close down our CD shop in the summer of 2002 and sell the mailorder shop to trance-shop.com. The CD shop was being continued by Astrid and Thorsten from Kisch Kusch. The worldwide effects of 9/11 and the burs-ting of the Dot Com bubble also resulted in empty purses of the Trance-scene. So, clearly, the

mushroom suffered too.

Ein NRW-Teil im mushroom in Zusammenar-beit mit Wir Formen aus Bochum, welcher in einer Teilauflage zwi-schen Waldfrieden und Köln ver-teilt wurde, war außerdem das neue Sprachrohr für die dor-tige große Partygemeinde. Leider schlug dieses aufge-blasene Konzept fehl. Der Chefredakteur des drug-stores, Claus Baldauf, blieb uns aber glücklicherweise für den mushroom erhalten und startete bereits im Septem-ber 2003 mit der sogenann-ten Reset!-Ausgabe in eine neue Ära des mushroom, nachdem wir den mushroom in der Aus-gabe August 2003 offiziell für tot

Im Gewusel der damaligen Ziellosigkeit entstanden aber neue Ideen, die bis heute Bestand haben wie beispielsweise die Trancecard, die vielen Tran-cern in Zusammenarbeit mit den Veranstaltern sehr viel günstigere Parties beschert. Und auch die Artist Sticker Card gibt es seitdem, die viele unserer Abonnenten mit jeder mushroom-Sendung sehnsüchtig erwarten.

2004-2005Und schon sind wir angekom-men beim 10.Geburtstag des mushroom im Frühjahr 2004, den wir mit einem wirklich fet-ten „E-Future“ Indoor Festival in einer mit Überdruck betriebe-nen Mega Location in Hamburg begehen wollten. Durch einen Sturm einen Monat vor dem gro-ßen Event wurde diese Ballon-halle jedoch angerissen und fiel in sich zusammen. Der Start des Tran-cers Guide To The Galaxy, dem welt-weit vertriebenen Trance Travel Gui-des in Kooperation mit Chaishop.com, verlief jedoch erfolgreich. Und auch die Internationalisierung des

20062006 wagten wir dann mit tatkräfti-ger Unterstützung unseres Shroom-Travellers Krzys den Schritt zur monatlichen Bilingualität. Thema-tische Specials wie Technik, Mode und unser Anne Clark Remix Con-test mit etwa 250 Teilnehmern waren weitere Erfolge. Mit einer Psyradio.fm-Kooperation versuch-ten wir im Oktober 2006 Radio und Heft zu vereinen, trennten uns aber schon nach wenigen Monaten auf-grund verschiedener Ansichten.

2007Die Kooperation mit der Goabase war allerdings von Erfolg gekrönt. Seit Frühjahr 2007 können Veran-stalter Ihre Parties automatisch auch an uns melden und müssen nicht mehr zwei Partydatenbanken bedie-nen. Außerdem gibt es auf der Goa-base Picture Page in jeder Ausgabe, wie in alten Zeiten, endlich mal wie-der geballte Partyfotos.Um das Projekt mushroom maga-zine auf wirklich feste Beine zu stel-len, durchleben wir gerade wie-der eine sehr starke Veränderung, denn seit Oktober 2007 erscheinen wir jetzt nur noch alle zwei Monate mit dem Heft und bauen zeitgleich mushroom-online.com ganz beson-ders stark aus. So starteten wir im Oktober 2007 einem Newslet-ter und...

2008... im Februar 2008 ein flashba-siertes mushroom magazine, wel-ches mit stark wachsen-der Tendenz bereits auf 200 Webseiten angezeigt wird. Und mit Erschei-nen dieser 150.Ausgabe sind wir dabei unser neues kleine-

Topic specials like technology, fashion and our Anne Clark Remix Contest in which 250 persons par-ticipated were successes as well. Through a Psyradio.fm-co-operation in October 2006 we tried to join radio and magazine, but we split up after only a couple of months because of differing opinions.

2007But the co-operation with Goabase was successful. As of spring of 2007 organisers can announce their par-ties automatically with us and do not have to serve two datenbases for parties. Additionally, there are again a lot of party photos under Goabase Picture Page in each edi-tion, like in the old days.In order to make the project mushroom magazine a thriving one, we are currently seeing another big change, because since Octo-ber 2007 we only have one maga-zine in two months and at the same time are working on enlar-ging mushroom-online.com very much. Also, we started a news-letter in October and...

Um so erfrischender zu sehen, dass zwei Jungs aus Belgien die entge-gengesetzte Richtung einschlugen: Jochem Peeters und Joris Marckx starteten in den späten 90ern einen Techno liveact. Jedoch beeinflusste der Besuch einer Psy Trance Party wenig später ihren Stil: Die Produk-tionen wurden fortan weniger mini-mal, dafür immer melodischer. In den vergangenen 10 Jahren haben sich Ephedrix zu einem internati-onal renommierten Liveact entwi-ckelt. Es gibt stets einen gewissen Unterschied zwischen jenen Künst-lern, die von Anfang an nur einen Stil verfolgten und jenen die mehr Erfahrungen haben. Dies ist auch

Shuji aus Japan, Mitglied von „Phi“, startete dieses eigenständiges Solo-projekt nachdem Phi für unbe-stimmte Zeit pausiert. Das Debütal-bum „Make rainbow in your slum“ erschien im Januar 2006 und prä-sentierte Shujis neue Musik. Das Album war sowohl in Japan als auch international sehr erfolgreich. Schon früh gründete Shuji eine Rockband und fand langsam seinen Zugang zu Psytrance. Er ist um die ganze Welt gereist und hat sich von unerwar-teten Regionen, heiligen Ortschaf-ten, Gettos und Flüchtlingswohn-heimen inspirieren lassen. In seiner Musik versucht er die Eindrücke von diesen Plätzen auszudrücken. Sein neues Album, „Sunflowers of today“ wird Anfang Mai herauskommen. Charakteristisch für das neue Album sind bebende Basslines, aggressive Riffe und ein hohes Tempo. Darü-

Shuji from Japan, one of the mem-bers of „Phi“ from 2004 has star-ted this solo project after Phi took an indefinite break. So Shoji began again carrying out his own project „Slum“ with lot of passion for music. Slum‘s debut album „make rainbow in your slum“ came out in Janu-ary 2006 and presented Shuji‘s new sounds. The album was very suc-cessful in Japan and got also atten-tion worldwide. Shoji has already begun his musical career when he was young. At first, he had a rock band and then slowly entered Psy-Trance. He has travelled all over the world and got inspired by visiting unexplored regions, holy places,

ghettos and refugee camps. In his music he tries to express these impressions.His new album „sunflowers of today“ will be released in early May. The music is characterised by uplif-ting bass-lines, aggressive riffs and speedy sound. So beschrei-ben die Jungs von Hyperion ihre Musik. Doch die Begeisterung für Musik war bei beiden sehr groß und so wurde 2006 das Projekt „Hyper-ion“ ins Leben gerufen, um eigene musikalische Ideen zu verwirklichen.Nach einigen kleineren Auftritte eta-blierte sich Hyperion zu einem viel gefragten Liveact auf populären Fes-tivals. Es folgten die ersten Tracks auf Y.S.E. Records und die Zusammen-arbeit mit „Slackjoint“. Dura

Bestimmt erinnert Ihr Euch an Dura aus Hamburg, der vor wenigen Monaten bei unserem "Trance Producer Contest" schon unter den ersten zehn gelandet war. Hier erweist sich Sebastian Loos aka Dura, auch in Sachen Remix als erstklassig, obwohl er vor unserem Contest noch keine Bekanntschaft mit Tracks der Band gemacht hatte. Vielleicht gerade deswegen gefiel sein Song unse-ren Lesern am besten. Das Aus-gangsmaterial war ihm zu düster und so hat er es ein paar Halbtöne nach oben gesetzt und mit einer eigenen Melodie kombiniert. Seine Musik ist anders als man Musik aus Hamburg vielleicht erwartet, denn Dura hat GOA im Blut.

Sure you remember Dura from Hamburg, who already reached the Top Ten in our "Trance Pro-ducer Contest". After this experi-ence, he shows his class in remi-xing also. Although he had never heard about New Model Army before, he has mixed the song which our readers liked most. He pitched the song a bit up and then he combined it with his own melody. Das ist doch verhext! Schon zum zweiten Mal und wieder ist es die zweitplatzierte Band! Leider war es uns erneut nicht mög-lich bis zum Redaktionsschluss von allen Künstlern ein Profil zu erstellen.Von der Band RovideR gibt es leider noch kein Feed-back, da sie gerade ihre USA Tour nachholen, die sie im letz-ten Jahr wegen verweigerter Visa absagen mussten. It feels a bit strange! But now it happens the second time and again we have trouble with the second place. This time also we have not been able to get a pro-file of these artists. The Band ProvideR did not get back to us so far because the are finally touring across the USA.

Lukas Keller wurde, laut seiner Aussage, 1999 mit Goa „infiziert“. Er startete das Projekt GOE und gründete damit 2003 seinen ers-ten Liveact, mit dem er nun schon auf vielen Bühnen gerockt hat. Sich auf einen Stil festzulegen fällt ihm schwer und so hat er bis-her viel ausprobiert. Seine Musik ist modern, trancig und vielsei-tig. Durch den Einsatz klassischer Musikkenntnisse und durch seine instrumentalen Fähigkeiten bringt er seine individuelle Interpreta-tion von PsyTrance deutlich zum Ausdruck. Die wichtigsten Fragen für ihn in diesem Contest:"Wie kann ich das Original in ein Full-On-Muster pressen? Welche Elemente des Originals verwende ich und wie weit soll der Remix dem Original ähneln?

Lukas Keller was infected with Goa in 1999. He started the pro-ject GOE and performed for the first time in 2003. Since then he has been playing on countless stages around the globe. He does not want to reduce his music to just one style, making instead lots of sound experiments and so his output is very varied. Electrypnose

Electrypnose, genauer gesagt Vince Lebarde, begann seine Kar-riere 2001 und seitdem hat der Schweizer bereits einige Alben veröffentlicht. Mit New Model Army wurde er schon im zarten Alter von 16 durch seine Schwes-ter in Berührung gebracht, aber gestern wie heute ist ihm noch nicht ganz klar was die da eigent-lich machen. Die Auseinanderset-zung mit dem Song betrachtet er als eine interessante Gelegenheit seine musikalische Vielseitigkeit auf die Probe zu stellen.

Electrypnose, the electric hypno-sis, is Vince Lebarde‘s multi-fla-voured musical project. Created in 2001, Electrypnose is explo-ring the digital-music-and-noise world. There is a couple of elec-trypnose albums out on the mar-ket and he is co-founder of Kab-rathor Records, a small under-ground music label. His sister introduced him to NMA when he was about 16. But he could never really grasp what this band is all about really. Most interesting to work on this remix for him was to get the chance to work on the track of a known pop-rockband. He spent about three days to get the remix done.

Flowrider

Die "dicken" Freunde Olli (links) und Alex sind Flowri-der und beide schon seit Mitte der 90er mit dem (Psy)Trance Virus infiziert. Die Hannovera-ner, Olli auch bekannt als Em-Cee und Alex als Sasa und Teil der Chilleben Crew haben sich schon als Produzenten, DJs und Veranstalter bundesweit etab-liert. Ihr Remix ist ein Jointven-ture, welches neben Familie und Arbeit entstanden ist, und beide bekräftigen, sie hatten eine Menge Spass beim Produ-zieren des Tracks.

Alex aka Sasa, part of the Chille-ben Crew and Olli aka Em-Cee are Flowrider. They got infec-ted with the PsyTtrance in the middle of the 90s and since then have established themsel-ves as producers, DJs and orga-nisers nationwide. The remix is a jointventure done along-side family and work and both affirm that they had lots of fun while doing this remix.Nevertheless, they created a precise and tidy sound. For us, it is nice knowing that they had a worthwhile and playful expe-rience while making the track.

Früher war es einfach, der aussereuropäische Gast kam im Frühsommer nach Nordost-Europa, verbrachte den Hochsommer nahe der Alpen und verliess Europa im Spätsommer von Südeuropa aus. Innerhalb eines Monats konnte ein reisefreudige Goaner mehr-fach „OO“ fühlend auf dem Floor stehen. Wie Ihr auch heute noch zu möglichst vielen „OO“s kommt erfahrt Ihr in diesem Artikel. Soviel sei vorweg gesagt: Einmal „OO“ gab es schon im letzten Sommer nicht mehr, seit letztem Sommer sagt Putlitz „UU“. Aber dazu später mehr ....

Unsere Reise durch Europa beginnt chronologisch in Italien, wo auf dem Goaland in Bologna insgesamt vier Floors den Tanz in den Mai beschal-

len. Nach diesem Ein-stand habt Ihr gut einen Monat Zeit, um am 30. Mai dabei zu sein, wenn in Nord-deutschland

nach einer einjährigen Abstinenz die Liquid Time ihr Revival feiert.

Aber dann wird es schon schwieri-ger und am liebsten würde man sich wohl teilen, denn nur eine Woche später, Anfang Juni, folg ebenfalls in Norddeutschland die Psychedelic Circus während in Österreich das

Psytasia Castleval (Castle Festival) auf dem Schloss Leiben stattfindet.

Goa Gil erscheint dann Mitte Juni zu seinem fast schon traditionellen Goa Gil Open Air in der Nähe von Cott-bus. Doch auch die Alpenrepublik wartet am 19. Juni wieder mit einer besonders schönen Party auf, wenn in Rauchenwarth zum alljährigen Spirit Base Festival geladen wird.

Das Ende des Junis gehört traditi-onell dem Fusion Festival, welches sich seit Jahren mit Händen und Füßen dagegen wehrt im PsyTrance Kontext genannt zu werden und vielleicht gerade dadurch eine unge-heure Anziehungskraft auf uns aus-übt. Mit mehr als zehn Bühnen der wohl größte Psychonauten-Spiel-platz Europas. Global gesehen nur

ein Steinwurf entfernt, geht es dann Anfang Juli auf der Tshitraka wei-ter. Wer gern unter freiem Himmel progres-siven Trance hört, sollte

sich dieses Highlight nicht entge-hen lassen.

Wer sich Anfang Juli weiter im Wes-ten Europas befindet, der sollte mal drüber nachdenken, ob nicht das Life Festival in Irland etwas für ihn ist. Drei Tage lang verwandelt die Creme de la Creme der psychedeli-schen Unterhaltung die grüne Insel in ein Psyreland.

Dein Reiseführer durch den europäischen PsyTrance Sommer

In the old days, it was simple , guests from out of Europe got to the Northeast of Europe in early summer, spent the summer near the Alps and left Europe in late summer through the South of Europe. Within one month, a Goan delighted of travelling could stand at many floors and feel „OO“. How you can experience lots of „OO“s even today is described in this article. This much shall be said before: There was already one „OO“ less last summer because as of last summer Putlitz says „UU“. But patience, first things first ....

Our journey through Europa begins chrono-logically, in Italy, where at the Goaland in Bolo-gna all in all four floors fill the dance into May with sound. After this debut you have more than a month to be there on the 30th of May when in Northern Gemany after one year of absence the Liquid Time will be celebrating its Revival.

But then it is getting more compli-cated and one would presumably

want to split because only one week later, at the beginning of June, there will be, also in Northern Germany, the Psychedelic Circus while in Aus-tria you have the Psytasia Castleval (Castle Festival) at the castle Leiben.

Goa Gil will pay a visit then in the middle of June for his almost traditi-onal Goa Gil Open Air nearby Cottbus. But the republic of the Alps will offer an exceptionally nice party on the 19th

of June, when in Rauchenwarth the anual Spirit Base Festival will be cele-brated.

The end of June tradionally belongs to the Fusion Festival, which has been fighting tooth and nail to not be mentioned in a PsyTrance con-text and maybe it is because of that

that it has such a tremendous attrac-tion for us. Having more than ten floors, it is probably the largest play-ground for psychonauts in Europe. Viewed from a global perspective it is only a stone’s throw, when in early July it is time for the Tshitraka. If you like to listen to Progressive Trance under an open sky you should not miss this one.

If you are in the West of Europe in early July, you should think about visiting the Life Festival in Ireland. For three days, the creme de la creme of psychedelic entertainment will transform the green island into a Psyreland.

Ende Juli ballen sich die Termine dann extrem, und es ist so gut wie unmöglich alle guten Partys zu erle-ben. In Ungarn eröffnet das No Man‘s Land Festival am Plattensee die heiße Phase. In Norddeutsch-land bekommen wir auf der Spiri-tual Healing das gewisse bisschen Mehr und in Frankreich steht das Hadra Festival an.

Anfang August die gleiche Misere, wenn gleich drei erstklassige Fes-tivals die Gäste locken und den Höhepunkt des Sommers markie-ren. In der Schweiz feiert man schon

In early August the same – though awkward - procedure, when yet three first-class festivals are luring guests and marking the peak of the summer. While in Switzer-land they are already celebrating the Summer‘s End Festival, in Eng-land you have the Shamanic Fes-tival and in Spain the Al-Andalus near Cadiz, one probably cannot get farther South in Europe festival-wise. At the same time, as being mentio-ned above, there will be a couple of 1000 guests at Putliz, standing open-mouthed on the field and jointly intoning „UU“, because then it will be: Let‘s VuuV! The line-up was very satisfying for all kinds of Psy music lovers, but the weather with three great rain-falls in the evenings brought a bit of a chaos. The fraggelz, every-body just smiling, because nature could not stop the gathering and it brought us a great together-feeling.Great location, fantastic line-Up (also this year!) and respectable organizers!

Nun neigt sich unser Sommer dem Ende zu und auch die Partydichte nimmt wieder ein wenig ab. Allerdings bedeutet das nicht, dass sich auch das Energieni-veau verringert. Ein Abstecher nach Ungarn könnte reizvoll sein, denn in Ozora findet mit dem gleichnami-gen Festival eines der wertvollsten überhaupt statt. Im Anschlus fährt der Ungar oder auch der benach-barte Österreicher wohl weiter zur Pyramiduna an der schönen Donau, wo im letzten Jahr der Shiva Moon aufgegangen ist. Shivas „OO“ hat sich übrigens aus Europa abgemel-det und steigt nun wieder monatlich in Thailand am Strand.

Mitte August, zur besten Urlaubszeit geht es dann für viele nach Portugal zur Boom, einem der fünf besten Festivals weltweit. Und Ende August lädt die Aqua Veda Crew uns zu ihrem Arcadia Festival nach Frank-

reich. In Deutsch-land stehen dann noch das Waldfrie-den Wonderland und die Indian Spirit auf dem Programm und beschlies-

sen hier den Open Air Sommer.

Aber Europa verlassen soll-tet Ihr erst nach dem Tran-sylvania Calling, welches Mitte September in Rumä-nien ruft.

In the middle of August, at the hightime of vaca-tion, for a lot of people this means Portugal and the Boom, one of the five best festivals worldwide. And at the end of August, the Aqua Veda Crew invites us to their Arcadia Festi-val in France. In Germany, we will be on standby for both the Waldfrieden Wonderland and the Indian Spirit closing the Open Air summer here.

lars etabliert haben. Wiesen ist eine wunderschöne Open Air Location in Österreich. Hier fand 2004 bereits das erste Urban Art Forms Festival statt. Schnell etablierte sich diese Veranstal-tung zu einem der wichtigsten und gleichsam außergewöhnlichsten Elec-tronic Music Events im Lande. When hearing the word “Wiesen” quite a few people might associate a certain annual festival in Munich which appears pretty weird someti-mes. But at the latest after this sum-mer this word will have a fixed name in the PsyTrance festival jargon. Wie-sen is a beautiful venue located in Austria and it was 2004 when the first Urban Art Forms festival took place there. And since then it has rapidly evolved to one of the most impor-tant as well as probably most extra-ordinary electronic music festivals in Austria. While nowadays quite a lot of festivals claim themselves to be an “amazing audiovisual experience”, this event follows a really special con-cept: From the very beginning the VJs shared equal importance with their music colleagues. And as a result the venue transforms into a phantas-tic parallel world of coloured lights, lasers, projections and illuminated sculptures when the sun sets. This year the mainstage will be supplied by 16 video beamers, an astonishing

12 square meter LED screen and two coloured lasers! These amazing light installations alone make the Urban Art Forms a festival really worth going to.But it seems like the Urban Art Forms is not only kind of superla-tive from an opti-cal point of view. Also the musical variation is incre-dibly large. You will find there almost every style of contemporary electro-nic music. From hard and fast Techno artists like Chris Liebing to classi-cal electro pioneer Anthony Rother. From up-to-date Minimal Sounds to rather band-styled music like Grove Armanda or 2Raumwohnung. You like Drum N‘�Bass from time to time? You will find it here. And of course, the Trance party is not misssing... Actually the PsyTrance stage is the music innovation of this year. And the line-up is more than massive: Astrix, Skazi, Astral Projection, Space Tribe, Electric Universe, Menog and Absolum are not even all the names playing there... If you are open for new musical experiences, this is defi-nitely the right place for you. Besides a massive trance party you have the possibility to explore a whole cosmos of various soundscapes.

And there is even more which is spe-cial about this event. The venue itself is a pretty extraordinary place. Some smooth hills offer enough space for a relaxed camping area. From here the view is reaching the main stage - a giant tent construction with some spike-like elevations. Inside this tent you might feel like on a huge sai-ling-ship or inside some airship - ready to start an adventure trip... This construction can shelter a huge audience from rain or too much sun without looking shabby and taking away the open air feeling. All the four stages follow this concept: They offer shelter from natural forces on the one hand but perfectly fit into the natural environment on the other hand.The Urban Art Forms will be an extra-ordinary event in many different aspects. It will take place on the last weekend of May, not such a long wait any more...

Obwohl man es kaum bemerkt, dass der Sommer naht, bereiten wir uns schon alle geistig auf die dies-jährigen Festivals vor. Eine der ers-ten Möglichkeiten den Winterfrust abzubauen bietet sich Anfang Juni auf der „Psychedelic Circus OA“, auf der ruhigen und abgelegenen Loca-tion der Vorjahre. Aufgrund der positiven Feedbacks haben sich die Organisatoren dazu entschieden die Location beizubehalten. So wollen die Jungs von wwt-event ein kaum bekanntes Dorf Norddeutschlands wieder mal in ein spirituelles Uni-versum verwandeln:Es gibt zwei Floors, damit auch ver-schiedene Geschmäcker von Pro-gressive bis Psychedelic bedient sind. Das internationale Line-up klingt auch im Voraus viel verspre-chend: Rinkadink, Fatali, Magoon, Nizzel und viele andere Künstler

Although one needs to try hard to notice that summer is in fact approaching, all of us are already getting started for this year‘s fes-tivals. One of the first possibili-ties to dissolve winter frustration is the „Psychedelic Circus OA“ at the beginning of June at the same quiet and remote location as in the pred-ceeding years. Because of the posi-tive feedback the organisers deci-ded to keep that location. Again

the guys from wwt-event want to turn an obscure village in Nort-hern Germany into a spiritual uni-verse: There are two floors for every kind of taste in music from Progres-sive to Psychedelic. The internati-onal line-up sounds encouraging even beforehand: Rinkadink, Fatali, Magoon, Nizzel and a lot of other musicians will indulge our ears. Teil 2: Die Begegnung

Viele Male war die Sonne nun schon aufgegangen seit der Featureman bei mir war. Doch was war geschehen?

Es begann am Tag, bevor er zu mir nach Alicante rei-sen wollte. Er berichtete von düsteren Mächten, die den verwunschenen Ort bedrohten. So wie es aussah, hat-ten sie diesmal gesiegt und „Carlitos Bay“ zu einer – NO GO AREA – verwandelt. Er vermutete, dass sein Erzfeind Graf Koks dahinter stecke. Ich sollte mir aber keine Sor-gen machen, denn er würde trotzdem, oder gerade des-halb kommen, um mir zu helfen. Weil die Umstände aber so besonders wären, werde seine Feier-Fee Featu-repussy ihn begleiten. Er meinte, die Featureworld wäre groß und die Featurezentrale würde schon einen ange-messenen Platz für uns finden. Er erklärte mir, dass es auf der ganzen Welt Featurecamps geben würde und dass diese von der Flow-Cooperation geleitet werden. Von Zeit zu Zeit erfülle er Aufträge wie den meinen und das wären dann sogenannte Flow-Jobs. Jeder Featureman, und es soll viele geben, erhalte eine Ausbildung auf Feature-Island und als Werkzeug eine Pepgun und reichlich Pappware. Er und Featurepussy kamen also am nächsten Tag, wie besprochen, zum Treffpunkt. Die Begrüßung war herzlich und voll positiver Energie. Nach einer schier endlosen Fahrt erreichten wir endlich unser Ziel, das Featurecamp „Ole“. Anfangs hat-ten wir tief gehende Gespräche, ich erzählte von mei-nem Leben, was mich bewegt und von meinen Feierpro-blemen. Anschließend bekam ich von Featurepussy ein Kräuterelixier mit speziellen Essenzen, wie sie meinte. Ich fragte, was dieser Zusatz denn sei, doch sie zeigte nur ihr lieblichstes Lächeln und sagte „Mach Doch Mal Alle“. Featureman liess nicht lange auf sich warten und zückte, was ihm die Flow-Cooperation mit auf den Weg gab, seine Pappware. Schnipsel, wie er es nannte. Die Wirkung setzte prompt ein. Alles war plötzlich leicht

und fließend. Er zauberte noch ein paar Caipirinha und dann hatten wir einen wunderbaren, sonnigen Tag am Strand vom Featurecamp „Ole“. So ging es die nächs-ten drei Tage. Alles war im Fluss, wir lachten und scherz-ten, gingen baden, genossen die Sonne, unsere gemein-same Zeit und meine Rettung. Die schöne Zeit zog dahin und unser gemeinsames Beisammensein näherte sich bald dem Ende. Ich bekam jedoch noch eine Einladung für den 20. Oktober. Alle würden da sein, das gesamte Featureteam, und es solle ein rauschendes Fest wer-den. Bevor wir uns dort wieder sähen, müsste ich aber noch eine Prüfung ablegen. Denn wie er sagte, müsse jeder aus dem Featureteam „immer und überall“ feiern können. Um dies zu beweisen, sollte ich zu einer Feier gehen, die den schönen Namen Atzlan trug. Sie würde in den Bergen von Valencia stattfinden, und ich wäre dort ganz auf mich gestellt, denn niemand vom Fea-tureteam würde anwesend sein. Aber Vorsicht sei gebo-ten, denn er vermutete, dass Graf Koks noch im Land

Sie reisten also ab und ich machte mich auf den Weg in die Berge.

It took 36 hours till the Dark Mights were beaten for the time being. The res-cue could begin. I got a herbal tonic from Fea-turepussy. With a smile she asked me to drink up the wonderful warm-maker. Fea-tureman pulled out his cardboard-goods, which he called snippet. Abruptly ever-ything was light and fluent. Then he con-jured some caiprinhas and we had a sunny day.The next three days were like one. The warm honey-strudel was no subject anymore. We laughed and jested, swam and enjoyed my sal-vation and our time together. Our gathering was coming to an end. We were not sad, since a reunion was a certainty. I got an invitation for a party on the 20th of October. The whole Featureteam would be attending. But before we would see each other again, I would have to prove to the Featureteam, that I was able to rave without help, everytime and eve-rywhere. Ein 18 jähriger hatte bei der Poli-zei eine Aussage gemacht. Es ging darum, dass er bei einem Freund in dessen Wohnung Cannabis konsu-miert habe.Die Staatsanwaltschaft beantragte daraufhin beim Amtsgericht einen Durchsuchungsbeschluss für die Wohnung des Freundes.Das Amtsgericht lehnte jedoch die Anordnung eines Durchsuchungsbe-schlusses ab.Dagegen legte die Staatsanwalt-schaft beim Landgericht Kaiserslau-tern Beschwerde ein. Aber auch das Landgericht kam dem Begehren der Staatsanwaltschaft nicht nach und hat die Beschwerde verworfen.Zur Begründung wies das Landge-richt daraufhin, dass eine Durchsu-chung unverhältnismässig sei, wenn es nur um den Erwerb und Besitz von Cannabisprodukten zum gele-gentlichen Eigenverbrauch gehe.In ähnlicher Weise hatte auch schon das Landgericht Freiburg eine Durchsuchung abgelehnt.Etwas anderes könne gelten, wenn die Art und Weise des Konsums

geeignet ist, Jugend-liche zum Gebrauch von Drogen zu ver-leiten, denn das Ver-leiten eines Jugendli-chen zum Gebrauch von Drogen ist strafbar.Im vorliegenden Fall war der Betref-fende aber volljäh-rig. Zudem liess sich nichtfeststellen, ob er nicht ohnehin schon zum Konsum von Cannabis entschlossen war. Denn ist jemand zum Konsum von Drogen schon entschlossen, kann er - logischer-weise - nicht mehr verleitet werden.

Decision of the county court of Kai-serslautern from 02.06.2006An 18 years old person testified at the police that he had consu-med cannabis with his friend at this friend‘s place. The attorney applied at the local court for a search war-rant for the flat of that friend. But the local court rejec-ted the application. Hereupon the attor-ney filed a comp-laint at the county court of Kaiserslau-tern against the local court. But the county court rejected the complaint too. The county court stated that a search would be disproportionate,

given that there was only possession and acquisition for occasional con-sumption. A local court at Freiburg had ruled likewise. Yet, the ruling could be different, if the consump-tion was meant to entice teena-gers to take drugs, because enticing teenagers to use drugs is sanctio-ned. But here, in this case the per-son in question was of age already. Furthermore, it could not be proven if he had not been determined to consume cannabis in the first place. Because, logically, someone already determinded to use cannot be „enti-ced“ anymore.

Sonnenfinsternisse sind in der Trance-Szene bekannterweise beliebter Anlass für eine besonders kreative oder große Party.
