ABOUT THE LOS ANGELES MUSIC AND ART SCHOOL LAMusArt is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing arts education to the underserved community of East LA. LAMusArt is the only organization that provides year-long, high-quality arts education in music, visual arts, dance and drama during after school hours in the greater East Los Angeles area. Without LAMusArt’s programs, many children in this community would not have substantive, sustained access to the arts and prone to engage in at-risk behaviors such as gang activity, substance abuse and teen pregnancy.

In 2015, with the support of donors like you, LAMusArt accomplished: 23,661 lessons provided across all programs 7,840 hours of tuition-free lessons imparted 660 students served each week 30 professional Teaching Artists were employed 86% of our students are Latino 75% of our students live below the Federal Poverty Line

ABOUT WINTER BENEFIT DINNER 2016 Celebrate the holiday season by joining Los Angeles Music & Art School’s Young Professionals Advisory Board for the 2nd annual Winter Benefit Dinner hosted at the historic Tamayo Restaurant & Art Gallery in East Los Angeles. Before dinner, Brendan White, pianist and LAMu-sArt Teaching Artist will set the tone for a special evening of celebration with a dazzling set. Authentic Mexican cuisine will be served in a truly vibrant and whimsical environment. Mingle while taking in the artwork featured on the gallery walls in the restaurant hall.
