MUSIC EXHIBITION PROGRAMCome, pay honor and tribute to the USS Missouri and her veterans by sharing the gift of music. School bands, choirs and performance groups may perform at one of three historic and moving sites on the Battleship Missouri Memorial Campus.
There is no better way to cap your trip to Hawaii than to perform in honored remembrance of those who have made this country free.
UNDERWAY WITH LEGO ROBOTICSIn order to create programs and lessons that will intro-duce Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) the educators on board the Battleship Missouri Memorial have taken on the challenge to give their students the experience of robotics with a Navy theme. Students will be taken through exciting missions using the LEGO® Mindstorms NXT Robotics set. From fending off pirates to saving the sea life, the mission of these courageous students will keep them on their toes from beginning to end.
CUSTOMIZED EVENTSFor groups interested in visiting the Battleship Missouri, we can create special, customized events that combine learning with volunteerism. Ask about our Education Tours and Community Service projects.

ENCAMPMENT PROGRAMJust like real sailors, youth groups can sample “life at sea” with an over night encampment experi-ence aboard the Battleship Missouri. Campers sleep in the crew berthing areas, store their gear in the lockers, eat Navy-style meals on the ship’s mess deck, and use shipboard restrooms and shower facilities. Plus, with onboard activities students will learn the value of leadership, communication and teamwork in a histori-cal, hands-on environment.
SCHOOL VISITSThe Mighty Mo is a tremendous venue for students young and old to explore over six decades of history. Choose between three tours, self-guided, Highlight and Battleship Tours and walk the decks of this historic battleship. Students will experience what life was like for thousands of sailors and marines, as well as standing
on the Surrender Deck, the official site of the end of WWII. So plan a field
trip for your class and discover all the stories of this historic ship.
EDUCATION OUTREACH PROGRAMThe story of the “world’s most famous battleship” is brought to life for students between 4th and 12th grades with a free 30-minute traveling historic presenta-tion. With entertaining animation, a narrator paints a captivating picture of the Mighty Mo’s unique history. Students will marvel at the sacrifice and resolve of the sailors who served aboard the ship.
Where History Comes To Life !Explore sixty-four years of history on the Battleship Missouri with engaging educational programs and experiences. We offer a number of programs for
teachers, students and parents to learn more about the Mighty Mo’s role in World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Desert Storm. So come aboard the biggest classroom you’ll ever encounter, and learn about our nation’s legacy.
