WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • Our “Music in Liberal Studies” curriculum allows for a focus on performance, composition or musicology and makes it possible to double- major. • Music majors can take coursework in the sciences to prepare for graduate study in music therapy or for medical school. • Interdisciplinary courses include “Music and the Brain” and “Art and Music.”

What can you do with a music degree?Musicians are entrepreneurs who, in addition to working in areas like teaching and performance, can combine performing, composing and conducting skills with other fields and/or postgraduate educa-tion to become: • church musicians • music critics/journalists • sound engineers • arts administrators • musician recruiters • music curators • instrument builders/designers • film composers

The study of music and other art forms can also play an integral role in one’s well being and lifestyle.
