The article provides the audience provides personal identity as they may aspire to the artist in the article or aspire to agree with what the artist is saying within the article. All the information can also provide the audience with personal relationship with them relating to what the artist says in the article. As well as this it also provides them with surveillance.

Magazine provides audience with escapism as they escape from everyday life and only focus on what they are seeing.

Mode of address within the whole article was quite formal: normal everyday speech. I did use some colloquial language, such as ‘ya know what I mean’ and ‘cool’. This may enable my specific, youthful, target audience to be able to relate to it more, therefore gaining personal relationships. However, I didn’t want to overuse this type of language as I didn’t want one niche audience.

Images provide the audience with personal identity as they may feel they can relate to the artist in the image. Also they may aspire or not aspire to be like the artist, therefore, they gather an opinion.

Article is in the form of an interview style, with the fictional artist. This was due to when doing my market research it came up as the most popular type of article my target audience would want on the double page spread. Therefore, I thought the magazine would be more successful if I use the ideas and aspects of what people actually want to read.

I used many adjectives within my interview such as ‘brilliant’ and ‘delighted’, therefore providing entertainment and causing the reader to want to read on. Furthermore, with the audience enjoying the article allows them to be involved in it and relate to the artist that the interview is on, which is therefore important in gratifying them.

Psychographics are imperative in determining an audience within the media industry, in my case understanding an audience for a music magazine. I will use different aspects within my magazine to highlight and target the different types of people. The three forms of psychographics I have tried to address in terms of attracting my audience are the innovators, the mainstream and the aspirers. As you can see, on the front cover I have used the convention of a splash highlighting the fact it is a debut edition, therefore, will attract the innovator due to it being a newly formed magazine and them seeking new things.Furthermore, the interview provides information about a current artist within the genre of R&B and hip hop so would provide the mainstream with escapism allowing them to keep up with the gossip of the current situation and topics amongst my genre of music's industry. Finally, due to me having a new artist as the main part of my magazine, I will use this to target the group of The Aspirer. I want my artists success to cause them to want to aspire to be like him and be influenced by him, to have the higher status they crave for.
