This house style for a rock music magazine is very

dark and gloomy colours giving them a gothic

appearance . However , these magazines are

targeting a niche market and therefore have a

specific and detailed article usually with an artist

that would be only identifiable to those who were

ken followers of the genre.

CLASSICAL

Classical music magazines are aimed to inspire the

older generation. The house style of these magazines

is conventionally quite subtle colours with no harsh

contrasts. However , like on a chart music magazine

cover they will typically use a well known artist or

performer to entice the reader.

CHART

Conventionally pop magazines are presented with

a bright colour scheme , usually incorporating

colours like pinks and purples as they normally

target a female audience. They show a main image of

a celebrity popualr in the charts at the time to

attract a young and music orientated reader who

would recognise the artist. Also the use of language

within these magazines is usually quite simple and

colloquial.
