•Connote the idea of ‘hippy era’/ 60’s rock, reflects their genre of blues rock.

The IMAGE•Dress sense indicates the era the music is from – 60’s onwards. •Subtle earthy colours and jeans also reflect the era and genre – hippy era and rock and roll.

•Long hair connotes rock and roll, further playing on the idea of hippy 60’s styles.

•Serious poses, subtle colours and black and white photos all imply they are serious to music, creates the idea of blues rock, and music with feeling as opposed to punk rock or funk which have relaxed feelings to them.

Nudity is a big part of their image - reflecting some of their sexually orientated music.

•Dark and earthy colours reflects their raw classic rock genre.•Image for their logo plays on their name ‘Guns ‘N’ Roses’•The dark colours reflect a more serious approach to the music as opposed to Red Hot Chili Peppers that have a very relaxed and fun approach to music with brightly coloured logos and artwork with more focus on white backgrounds, with little black.
