“Without question Muskoka isone of the world’s leading golf

destinations and is the favourite destination of our clients – unrivalled for it’s beauty, quality of golf courses and it’s charm...it exudes a sense of well-being,

rarely found anywhereelse in the world”.

Gary Stangoe, Across the Fairways - England

When it comes to a golfing experience, Mus-koka with its many outstanding facilities, ranks up there with the top few destinations of North America. Playing any of Muskoka’s courses is both a delightful and memorable experience. Each course offers its own uniqueness from the vistas and views that you have from elevated tee blocks to the outcropping of the granite rocks and the tree-lined lush fairways which lead to large greens with subtle breaks. There is nothing like starting your day standing on a tee block overlooking a valley with the warm morning sun shining and a fine morning mist blanketing the fairway or, standing on the green readying your putter while hearing a light rustle in the trees and noticing a couple of deer making up the gallery. One thing you will not see on a Muskoka course is pesky alligators or cottonmouth snakes. However, it is

common to see deer, the occasional moose and even the odd bear playing through.

What makes Muskoka different from other course destinations is the quality and quantity of courses. Muskoka has 24 courses to challenge you, courses like Muskoka Bay Club, (which is ranked as one of Canada’s 10 best), Taboo, The Rock, Rocky Crest, Deerhurst, Bigwin, Diamond in the Ruff, South Muskoka, North Granite Ridge, Muskoka Highlands, Windermere, Huntsville Downs and Bracebridge Golf Club. The list reads like the who’s who of golf. Muskoka proudly offers first-class courses for any level of golfer.

to make a decision. The Rock offers packages through two wonderful resorts, Clevelands House and the new Rosseau (the only J. W. Marriott in Canada). Taboo Muskoka has a spectacular course and a wonderful resort, the ultimate northern

On August 4, 1920, the new nine-hole golf course was officially opened. A foursome of prominent golfers of that era played the opening round: George Lyons, George Cumming, F.P. Freeman and Stanley Thompson. Two or three

hundred spectators watched this first round at Windermere. A scenic, challenging but playable course set in the heart of the Muskoka vacation country. A combination of 14 ponds and tree-lined fairways will keep you on your toes throughout your round. The excellent irrigated course and layout presents a great test of golf. The greens are

Co-designed by PGA Tour veteran Mark O’Meara (1998 Masters and British Open champion) and renowned coursearchitect Brit Stenson. Situated a pebble’s throw from Huntsville, Grandview features one of the most impressive of

ClubLink’s clubhouses. It blends stone and wood and embodies Muskoka’s grandeur. It plays host to both weddings and banquets and can accommodate up to 250 people. A stunning patio overlooks the first hole.

Greens feature subtle breaks that one does not easily master. Large elevation changes throughout give spectacular views of Fairy Lake. Deciduous forest, granite and marshland are a few other key characteristics.

Visit in the fall to witness the spectacular showing of the trees—a living reminder of what once inspiredthe Group of Seven to document this region’s beauty on their canvases.
