To provide a competitive and learning experience of the team aspect of

wrestling for both parent and child.

Code of ConductIf we don’t have this we have nothing! We are just a bunch of

washed up former wrestlers, please let’s keep it that way, read next bullet.

“Competitive but knowing it’s not real”

Coaches

• Head Coach is solely responsible for his coaches and parents. If a parent or coach is out of control, the head coach must work to remove them from gym. Matches will stop until this happens and will not resume until the person has left the building.

• High school rules apply for all discussion with referees.

1. Big and Small School Divisions (Tewksbury)

2. Shorten Season to 4 dual meets (Tyngsborough)

3. Go to 2 date, 3 meet per date with all 8 teams. Then schedule single when you can. (Tyngsborough)

Revisit Format of Meets1. Pick weight to start at (i.e. Like HS, rather then the bottom

weight every time).

2. JV’s - teams must bring plenty for other teams, if not make a call/email so we can tell kids to stay home

Scheduling1. Dracut is out and Burlington Red Devils are in

3. Same dates as last year (minus one calendar day for 2011-12 season) They are all updated on CYW web site and are subject to change.

4. Shotgun Start All teams at same location in December

a) December 23rd is to close to Christmas

b) I have secured CHS for 12-31-11 (New Years Eve Morning)

c) We can make this a super kick off with all 8 Teams for 3 meets each. (ETA 4-5 hours with JVS)

5. Chelmsford can have any Sunday during the season, would this make sense?

6. CYW website will be location of all schedules and announcements

Weight Classes

(60, 65,70,74,79,83,89,92,97,103,108,114,120,130,145,155,170)

1. Preseason weigh in at Chelmsford PD Sunday, 12/4/2011 (5-8PM)

2. Set weight classes or back to original way? a) Mimic same weights as Youth NE & MYWA

b) Set weights after they weigh in.

c) Allowing wrestlers, who maybe traveling with a club that day, to use that weight (confirmed by club coach) as their weigh in.

3. Limit number of kids per weight per team (in other words only send top 2 per weight maybe 3).

4. Rosters need to be sent in advance electronically
