My Experience with Puzzle Piece Fitness
Notes to Caregivers:
Puzzle Piece Fitness is an in-home based personal exercise training service
dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals with Autism Spectrum
Disorder and related disabilities.
Puzzle Piece Fitness services people of all ages located in central Florida.
Mark will meet students where they are in their fitness and comfort levels.
Each program is adapted for the individual and his or her goals.
Mark will do an initial consultation with your family to assess current skills and
to fill out paperwork prior to enacting a training regimen.

Today I will be meeting with my new Puzzle Piece Fitness trainer. His name is Mark.
Mark is here to help me be healthier! He can help me with my balance, my core
strength and my flexibility.
The first time Mark comes to my house, we will talk, he will see what my strengths
are and he will find out what I want to work on. We will make a plan for our future
training.
When Mark comes to exercise with me, I can wear whatever makes me
comfortable. I will wear clothes that I like to move in. If I feel uncomfortable with an
exercise or I am afraid to do something, I can tell Mark.
Mark might bring some equipment over for us to use together. He will show me how
to use the equipment the correct way so I don’t get hurt. These things are used to
improve my jumping, throwing, movement and lifting.

Sometimes we will do exercises where we run, walk, jog or ride a bike. Sometimes
we might use things around the house like a wall or a chair and sometimes I will just
use my own body.
After Mark leaves I can practice what he showed me on my own. It is important to
stay healthy and active.
