Maths ActivitiesNumber bonds to 10
Listen to the supermovers song to learn and familiarise yourself with number bonds to do.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/ks1-maths-number-bonds-with-martin-dougan/zf6cpg8
A more practical version using objects is:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiFRb_Uoa3U
Get 10 objects from around the house. Lay them in a line. Have a go at splitting the 10 by taking away however many you want to (and putting them to make 10 again). Count how many are on each side. Write a number sentence, e.g. 7+3=10. Your answer should always be 10.
You could make a poster with the number bonds to 10 on and then check if your number bonds are correct by looking at our 'rainbow to 10'.
We are creating a piece of work in the style of Kandinsky's artwork. He produced artwork that was abstact, around the time of 1913, and was best known for his circle paintings. He was a Russiab painter and he is believed to be the first artist painting in that style. He believed that colours have a soul and he tried to paint what he heard, often listening to music when he painted.
Find out more about him and his artwork:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIWjR3otGvM
Use paint or pencil to attempt to create an abstract piece of art. You could try to replicate one of these examples of art or create your own abstract painting or pencil art.
